Hammer Studios - the masters of 60s Gothic horror - deliver another masterpiece with The Mummy. It looks beautiful on this Blu-Ray. A must-have for any horror fan.

This is a movie classic movie in my opinion and should be watched by all generations .

Sir Christopher Lee was a huge star in any number of films from any genre, but most folks deservedly recall him in several productions of Dracula. While that may be his horror calling card, this film will remind all he also chilled us as The Mummy. While his speaking time in this is limited, his expressive eyes convey more than words ever could.......a tribute to the man's acting ability, his presence is undeniable. This is my favorite mummy, due to the care and attention put into it.........further, this transfer is a real jaw-dropper, far better than previous issues. Add Terence Fisher's spot on direction and the iconic Peter Cushing, and you have a must see Hammer production. Though nearly 60 years old, The Mummy STILL delivers.

I was very pleased to see this at Best Buy, with a cool slip cover to boot! A fun, old-school film with Christopher Lee under the wrappings. You already know if you like these old Hammers, so let me just say that if you have the old DVD, this is a worthy upgrade. It's not the sharpest HD picture, but the colors are very strong and the whole things is just more pleasing to the eye than the old DVD. It's also available in a 3-movie Hammer set.. No extras, other than the trailer, but the pictire quality is very nice and the price is right. Classic horror fans, go get it!

This great classic horror film has been issued on Blu-ray just in time before the new Mummy movie comes out this summer in movie theaters. An excellent classic film. I recommend you watch this before the new Film comes out next month. For my young readers of this review, keep in mind this movie was made in with the 1950's. There was limited special effects back in this time. These films were actually made in real time. You cannot compare the quality of them to films made in the 2000. It's two different eras of filmmaking!!

Hammers take on Universal's Horror run and you can't go wrong with the way this version of The Classic Mummy's was done , great acting and the charismatic Christopher Lee shot in beautiful lush Hammer color . Just a wonderful remake.

This movie is a true classic in every sense of the word. Fantastic performances by Cushing and Lee. Great updating of Universal's original movies. And filmed in color without losing any of the subject matter's gothic charm.

Another reason Hammer Horror became the legendary film studio for a new generation of horror fans, this film has all the elements that made Hammer Studios the Legend it is today... DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!!!

The Mummy is the first acquisition in my Hammer horror collection, and I couldn't be happier. The sets and colors look amazing in HD. I look forward to seeing the whole collection on Blu-ray.

This takes me back to an earlier time when we didn't have the best special effects, but the stories were more important. It's not a masterpiece, just a good two hours of fun.

Hammer's The Mummy is one of their finest. Christopher Lee excels and gets across emotion without saying a word.

This was a nice buy. If you're looking to complete your vintage monster movie collection i would definitely buy this.
