Festive, funny movie. Cast is great, especially Michael Shannon

"The Night Before" could be a cousin to "A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas," but not to "A Christmas Story," or "It's a Wonderful Life." This will not be a classic, holiday tradition movie, but that doesn't make it bad. If you want to laugh and Seth Rogen movies make you laugh, you'll laugh. If you don't like his movies and brand of humor, avoid this movie. Good movie with a quality blu-ray is what this is. The AV isn't reference material, but it still is pleasing and more than acceptable. The extras are light and fun. You won't remember them but they're cool. Ho ho ho! Merry night before!

This is a shockingly funny Christmas movie, considering the fact that 2 of the film's main stars (Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt) are Jewish in real life, although Seth Rogen's character is Jewish. I thought this movie was very priceless. Surprisingly no backlash let alone protests from church groups.

I have to admit I almost let some other reviews stop me from purchasing this movie but I'm glad I stuck to my guns and kept the faith on Seth. I really enjoyed this film it tells a little about what it means to be friends with people for years and years and battling the hardships of one friends misfortune. But it also touches on how hard it is to be truthful and even if it could and will cause problems but in the end things always work themselves out.

I love Christmas and I have certain family oriented movies that I watch every year. This movie recently made the cut of my yearly Christmas movies, it is good to have a couple more adult humor movies to give it some variety. It never gets over the top raunchy! Really good humor and I think it actually has a little heart too.

Seth rogan and director Jeff Levine who previously worked together on the dramady 50 - 50 along with co stars Joseph Gordon levitt and Anthony mackie deliver the best Christmas stoner buddy movie since Harold and Kumars Christmas romp. Serves up quite a few laughs and some laugh out load moments to make u smile and just shake your head at how dumb yet harlaious it is

If you’re looking to watch something during the holidays like November and December then you should watch this hilarious movie. It features Joseph godon, Seth rogen and more. If you’re of a fan of Seth Rogens movies like Superbad, Pineapple Express and This is the end then you need to watch this movie. It’s funny but it also has a deeper meaning when you find out what the characters are all going through. Watch it now!

You either like Seth Rogen or you don't but this may be the single funniest performance he's ever given. Great R-rated holiday fun. I hate that none of the copies sold at BBY come with the slipcover. If I had to do it all over again, I'd buy from somewhere else that does have it (because I'm a collector in that way) but in any case, The movie is worth checking out.

I know this is not exactly a family holiday type movie by any means. In fact, its just raunchy at times. For some reason, I watch it. Not sure I will keep this, but I still watch it every year. Maybe the few moments in the movie about friendship is what keeps it for me.

This is a funny R-rated movie to watch during the holidays (Christmas time), starring Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Anthony Mackie. This Blu-ray has excellent video and audio quality, which is typical from Sony. Hopefully we'll get a 4K + Blu-ray release of this in the future! Great movie to add to the collection and play at home around the holidays. Recommended!

Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Anthony Mackie are childhood friends who have made a pact to always hang out on Christmas Eve since they were kids.
