This is a older movie that I had previously seen, but my wife had not and I was delighted when I was able to purchase it from BestBuy at a good price so my wife and I can watch it

Historical Fiction Fan? Definitely Watch This One

Great movie that I've enjoyed since originally seeing it decades ago. It's very true to the Frederick Forsythe novel, which is very rare for a lot of movies today, and for anyone who enjoys historical fiction, this is a winner. A very young Jon Voight does an excellent job playing the main role of Peter Miller along in a very fast paced thriller along with Maximillian Schell as the very evil and arrogant Major Eduard Roschmann. The supporting cast, although probably not recognizable to most people, also does a great job.
Not much in the way of extras as this movie was made in 1974 and wasn't a huge, mega budget feature by original design. However, that doesn't detract from an excellent and much needed conversion to digital.

The movie is a fascinating story of post war intrigue. Jon Voight's performance is subtle but convincing. Overall entertaining drama.
