Every bit as nostalgic 25 years later and there's even more depth from when we watched this movie back in high school for our mandatory English book assignment follow up. Always looked for this on streaming services but it never popped up so I snagged it from Best Buy. It'll stay on the movie shelf as a classic forever now. Its the non-musical "Grease" or "West Side Story" street kid's battle.

Another Ralph Macchio classic, its a warner brothers film to enjoy.

Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, this film tells the coming of age story of youth in a Texas town. Includes stellar cast of Matt Dillon, Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise, and a very young Diane Lane (my favorite actress). Terrific action drama and soundtrack.

Terrific movie. Came out in 1983 and the cast is exceptional.

This movie isn’t the most ground breaking I will be the first to admit. It is however an all star cast and a decent movie about both sides of the tracks if you will.

A very excellent modern classic Just look at the cast and at the time the movie was made they all were pretty all unknowns. Movie still is enjoyable to watch.

My daughter read this book in class this year. I surprised her with the movie because she enjoyed the book. She really liked it.

One of the best teen movies of it's day. Some of the best young actors of the time.

not only is this a classic book to read, the movie was a great adaptation.

I grew up in the 80's and this was "the" movie amongst my pre-teen friends and I. I had read the book in school and the movie stayed true to the story line. I recently ordered the DVD so my daughter could watch because she also read the book in school. I was surprised, for a movie made in the 80's, she actually liked it quite a bit. The story really hits home even to this day when kids are so quick to judge other kids just for the way they grew up or what they wear to school, add to that a group of boys full of testosterone just ready to prove how tough they are. Really a great classic 80's teen movie with a story line that really hits home, and also a movie that helped launch the career of several actors including Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Ralph Macchio, Rob Lowe, and C.Thomas Howell.. I should also mention how much I love the Stevie Wonder song that really never got the credit it deserved, Stay Gold.

Watch this movie it has many famous actors that worked together
