This was a great made for television series based on a Stephen King novel. Lots of great actors.

It's about a pandemic. What happens to people when a virus get out of control. Long movie, very good.

I am a fan of Stephen King. Some of his works are hit and miss but he his a terrific story teller. Now I remember seeing this movie in the 90s on television and remember loving it. Well fast forward to today and wow is this adaptation not good. Choppy story telling and the acting is subpar. This Blu-ray has a good picture and decent audio. No extras included.
A must for fans of King.

Not sure what the manufacturer did but the movie would not play the end. Had to return it for a new one.

After years of hearing rumors of 'The Stand' being restored to HD--the original DVD version left much to be desired-- it's finally available for all the SK fans, as well as fans of the 90's TV series.
If you see it, grab a copy.

This is a very good adaptation of, arguably, Stephen King's best novel. A thought provoking morality tale that I would like to see remastered in HD.
