Like it! The man that checked me out talked to another employee so much that it took too much time to check me out! He actually sat in a chair behind the counter while checking me out! I was at the customer service counter in the appliance area.

John Carpenters THE THING is one of my favorite horror films of all time! Creature effects are top notch back in an age where practical effects were primary methods or special effects. The story is so enthralling and keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time!

I love this movie. The cast of characters (notably Kurt Russell & Keith David) are superb. The old school visuals were great for their day. Scream/Shout Factory releases are awesome. They have done a great job with releasing quality Blu-rays of classic horror movies, and this one is no exception. This version is much improved over my old HD-DVD version (remember those?). John Carpenter is 1 of my favorite directors, so this is just one of many of his movies that I've recently purchased.

If you love The Thing, this is by far the best package regarding this incredible movie. The movie looks incredible in Blu-ray! I watched a the dvd and the blu-ray playing at the same time and the differences are incredible (sharper image, better color correction, cleaner image). It has so much content (behind the scenes, trailers, interviews, etc) that it will take hours to what all of it. For the price and content, this is a must for fans!

Best Buy was the only store that I was able to find The Thing. I had was able to buy it online and get it the same day. This is greatly appreciated when we have impromptu movie nights. Everywhere else we would have to wait for it to be shipped. If you haven't seen this, get it. It has a young Kurt Russell and the story itself is scary and freaky. This is one of the great early works from John Carpenter. You cannot be a true horror fan if you have not see this.

The viewing experience is pristine, and the audio is as pure and clean, as it could ever be. I’m very grateful for the 4K experience of John carpenters “The thing”

Best buy doesn't sell movies anymore, so why would anyone be looking at this? transfer is crystal clear and this is one of John Carpenter's best. Hail JC

This movie is so unique that if you are a fan of either Sci-Fi or Horror movies you should count this one among the greats like Alien. A must-have monster of the week!

No dolby vision but there is no need, the hdr helps with the color of the snow rooms and skin tones. This is the only way to watch “The Thing”

This is an incredibly high quality 4K transfer. Defined colors, crisp detail, ans ultra smooth (but realistic) movement. It enhances the already phenomenal practical effects of John Carpenter's sci-fi horror masterpiece.

The movie came in pristine condition, the movie looks and sounds fantastic. If you are a true fan of "The Thing" I would recommend this edition as it has a lot of special features.

The Thing 4K is the best way to watch this amazing film. Every frightening detail, no matter how grotesque, is now in glorious 4K!

It was like watching a brand new movie. All the colors, shadows, lighting, etc looked phenomenal especially the practical effects and scenes with fire.

Needed to get some old school scary movies to play in the back round on the tv for a party. This got a lot of attention from people who glanced at the tv. Even with no sound on it got a lot of attention and I was recommending it to anyone who asked if it was good. One of my favorites.

A beautiful 4k transfer...the practical effects of the day look great...if you enjoy 80s horror in 4k I highly recommend it

By far the best movie in John Carpenter's great catalog. Looks amazing in 4k, the practical effects still hold up. Perfect watch once first snowfall hits.

Big fan of John Carpenter and Kurt Russell and finally picked up this gem. Couldn’t believe how awesome this movie was and it holds up today in spite of its age. 100% recommend!

Wonderful transfer, with neon greens and pinks that pop like I've never seen. I was very satisfied with this particular upgrade.
