Stay away from this movie. It was an ok movie up until the very end. For me the ending ruined the entire movie.

I guess this was intended to be a psychological thriller. It involves a US soldier in Iraq who gets pinned down for several hours behind a wall by an Iraqi sniper whose shooting accuracy would put Annie Oakley to shame (we are told he is shooting from 1500 meters, which is almost a mile). In quick succession, the sniper wounds Aaron Taylor-Johnson below the knee (a wound that we are told might be life-threatening), puts a hole in his canteen (threatening Taylor-Johsnon with death by dehydration) and shoots the antenna off of his radio (thereby making it impossible for him to seek help). The film was so slow it felt like watching paint dry, except that drying paint would not be nearly as whiny as Taylor-Johnson. The film also leaves unexplained why the wall that we are told was part of a demolished school, and a garbage heap that we are told that the sniper is hiding in, both seem to be set out in the middle of nowhere, begging the question (why are they there?). Finally, the ending was obvious from 1500 meters. Overall, a pretty poor effort by the director of Edge of Tomorrow (which I loved).

This movie was picked up out of curiosity because it looked like a good action movie. This movie was very boring and terrible picture.
