Very heavy, Loved it. Great CD. Great for the old metal head in you.

Five Finger Death Punch take much of their blistering energy and douse it in infectious and hooky combinations of melody and harmony, which gives ‘The Way of the Fist‘ an entirely new feel and direction than just searing metal core patterns. Ivan Moody, although better known as “Ghost” from his Motograter and current Ghost Machine days, shows off his extensive range, fluctuating flawlessly from gut-wrenching roars to enveloping and at times epic melodic approaches. Dynamically, Moody aids the album tremendously, as his evident attention to volume and pace provide ‘The Way of the Fist‘ with a tighter and more professional sound. The dual guitar work of Zoltan Bathory and Darrell Roberts is the driving force behind Five Finger Death Punch, and they are able to successfully pull off somewhat of a split personality. The duo matches explosive and visceral pulses effectively with smooth and textured chord progressions, giving ‘The Way of the Fist‘ a more digestible disposition. Solos are placed somewhat on the backburner, and although they are present and often times indulgent, they never once compromise the succinct nature of the album. Matt Snell’s bass constructions fuse muscular downbeats with bouncy rhythms, which serves as the perfect backdrop to Jeremy Spencer’s consistent drumming; Spencer keeps the double bass pounding at all the appropriate moments, yet keeps the driving nature of ‘The Way of the Fist‘ alive and breathing. Five Finger Death Punch have struck somewhat a solid niche between scathing metal core and rock radio, which, although on paper sounds cheesy and forgettable, is conquered by the band.

I discovered the band much later than most. I'm a fan because of their work with the United States military which deters some fans from liking them. This specific album, Way of the Fist, was one of their earlier works which attracted a wide range of hardcore metal listeners. Songs like "The Bleeding" and the title track have hard hits and gritty style that helped characterize vocalist Ivan Moody and company. This album is a precursor to explosive catch tunes that would eventually be provided in American Capitalist and beyond. If you're not a fan of Fiver Finger Death Punch's newer music but are borderline liking the band, The Way of the Fist is a great listen for you. If you are die hard fan, you'll like the album. The only issue is that the songs aren't quite as recognizable to an average listener but it doesn't deter from the quality of the album.

This is by far the best metal cd I have ever purchased. It by far the most sensational, exhilarating, full of emotion and in your face CD that I have ever found. Metal was once lost but now is back with FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH!! Not only are they the most talented individuals, but they have a heart of gold! They absolutely love their fans and recognizes each of them. They are the only band I know that REALLY DO CARE!! Their performance on stage is nonstop shredding both musically and vocally!! IF YOU LOVE METAL, then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CD!!

The other music i ordered with this one, for some reason, have been delayed by 3 weeks! All where supposed to be delivered together, did not find out about delay till later. Anyways, c.d is good, no problems, the others, not so much!

This first installment from FFDP is pretty good. It has more of a raw sound compared to their later albums (i.e. Metallica's Kill Em All versus the Black Album). It's a must have if you're a fan, a really strong showing!

Ever since I've first heard this band, they have have been one of my favorites. This album is filled with great music that this band never fails to deliver!!!!!

5FDP is more thrash metal for those fans who crave that music. Its definitely a great album. Even has an acoustic track that they recorded for "The Bleeding."

I purchased this CD from Best Buy out of the clearance bin and Iam very happy with the price and customer service.

FFDP has A LOT of good tunes. And this album shows a heavier side to them that really gets you going!
