I've seen most of the HBO series and this is one of the best. Great actors! It could be about real life stories.

This shredder is smaller than I believed it to be but other than that, it works great. It cuts paper, disc, and credit cards. And it cuts them all well. The time says 2 mins continuous but I know I used it much longer on the initial use. It is wonderful though to have an over-heated light. Overall, for the price this machine fits my needs.

Cant wait to get season 2! Great show! my boyfriend put me on.

This is the epitome of good tevlevision. Much like a novel on film, it unfolds slowly and meticulously, drawing a picture of the far-reaching effects of drugs and corruption in the Baltimore slums. The season begins when Detective Jimmy McNulty visits a district judge and tells him about Avon Barksdale, a drug kingpin in the slums of Baltimore. This leads to the judge barking up the trees of a lot of police higher-ups and politicos, who are extremely displeased, but who respond by putting together a unit, led by Lieutenant Cedric Daniels, who are charged with making arrests of Barksdale's crew. Everything about this show is exactly as it should be. The pacing's a bit slow, making it less addictive initially than some of HBO's other shows, particularly The Sopranos, but if you give it a chance, you will find yourself watching one of the rawest, best written, most intelligent shows ever made. If you haven't gotten into it yet, now is the time.

I've been a fan of cop shows since I was little, but as I got older I became a little disappointed with how cliche-ridden the plots/characters/etc continued to be. I mean, I felt there *had* to be fascinating stories to tell, but it seemed like no one was willing to step outside the box. Hoo boy, does The Wire step outside the box. Cops with such serious flaws that I almost quit rooting for them (although they never quite lost me), drug dealers that are sympathetic (sometimes I found myself squealing 'cuuuute!'). Not that HBO shows are usually convential, but The Wire is something special. The best TV show I've ever seen. Seriously. Go, watch, and feel as blown away as I do.

This is the greatest TV show ever, no other crime drama, real-life drama can compare. I avoided watching the show for a long time, but eventually I got around to watching the wire and it's just bad in the sense that once you finish the season you have to go out and find the next, and the next, until your whole week is gone. Then again, it's all in the game yo!

This was one of the best series I have ever seen on HBO. Once finished it was like finishing a great novel and the "feeling of let down" on what to read next! The actors were great and when I see them now I really appreciate their acting abilities!

This one of HBO best show. It will grab you with it twist and turn. The storyline was written by cops who there. If you have seen this. You are missing out on a good thing.

Unfortunately I was not a fan of The Wire at it's beginning & this set let me know exactly what I had been missing. The synopsis before each new episode is helpful with keeping up with the storyline & knowing what to expect. DEFINTELY recommended for any true Wire fan or late comers like myself. Idirs Elba is to die for!

The show is absolutely mesmerizing. In terms of HBO, which is known for great shows, this is my favorite show, right next to Boardwalk Empire. The best show I have ever seen.

I recommend that you start with The first season...and I guarantee you will be hooked....it has some of everything for everyone. Not the ordinary cop show...ITS HBO!!!!

a greta series everyone should watch and it comes at a great price

I love love love this season. I just have to get the remaining seasons- maybe I will exclude season two though
