I had heard of the Witcher series for PC, but never considered getting into it. Then, one day I found the second game in the series for a bargain price on Xbox 360. I decided to give it a try and was impressed. It made me decide I needed to pre-order the third installment, because I knew it would be even better than the other two before it. Plus, I've been following the developer and am very impressed with their capabilities and their methods of doing business and supporting their fans. Despite some heavy, mature content that it could probably go without (this isn't a game to play around kids), I generally enjoy the series. The writing is top-notch, believable, and occasionally very, very funny. The game play is deep, customizable, and only gets better over time and with every game. While playing Witcher 2, by comparison to other game systems, it took me a LONG time to get a hold of the complex combat and game systems, but once I did I enjoyed the game a whole lot more. If you're a fan of the series, number three is definitely up your alley. More of what you love (a LOT more. I've seen strategy guides for it reaching 450+ pages), and everything on a bigger scale with the more powerful systems. Be prepared to see friends less and spend plenty of time digging into this one. Unfortunately, I can't say much for people who are new to the series. From what I've heard the developers want to make it accessible for everyone, but I can't say from experience whether they have or not. My advice: if you like Game of Thrones political-intrigued style of story telling, RPG's, and massive open world exploration, you'll very much like this game. Just be prepared to learn and try something that's new and different from most else out there.

I have 30 hours in to this game, and have loved every one of them. It takes an hour or two to get used to the combat style. The graphics look great, and the few bugs that are present get patched quickly. I have played the first two games in the Witcher series, but they didn't keep my attention. This entry is much better, and the developers made it easy for newcomers to the series to not feel too left out. The voice acting is great, and all the side quests are very good. Seriously, don't skip the optional missions, they are one of the best things in the game.

Great action and a nice story to accompany it. With so many games' single player campaigns capping out at around 8-12 hours of gameplay, Witcher 3 can give you at least 40 hours or more .It's jam packed with content to experience, even without DLC.

This game has me really hyped to play it. every night. The free DLC is obviously a huge plus. The devs really did it right with that decision. There are some frame rate issues during the loading videos, but besides that the game looks and plays great.

So much depth and story telling, but also good action and fighting. If you tried to do everything in this game, you could be playing it for a while. It's probably the best open-world game i've played, and i've modded the heck out of Skyrim, the Fallouts, etc. I've owned it for about two months now, and I don't think i'm even half way through the main campaign (granted, I haven't really had time to marathon any good play sessions)

This is one of the best RPG games I have played in quite some time. While it does have its quirks, such as a few bugs and crashes on release. For a game of this magnitude, what I have experienced didn't hamper my enjoyment whatsoever. Many people might be put off by the seemingly complex nature of this game, but fear not. While the game may be challenging at times it only adds to the gameplay experience. If you are a fan of Dragon Age, The Elderscrolls, or Dark Souls I would give this game a shot. You won't be disappointed.

It's one of the best looking and most story driven RPGs I've ever seen. Combat can be challenging (and somewhat clunky) but once you get used to it, there is no issue. It's certainly not for kids...lots of M rated language, nudity, and violence. If you're familiar with the other games and like them, it's a no brainer. If this is your first time check out some videos to see if you like the tone and whatnot. I'd heartily recommend this to anyone that likes RPGs. There's plenty to explore and the stories are engaging.

Great open world game. It has flaws, but it's strengths make up for them. Hopefully they will release a patch concerning some of the flaws. Great story, wonderful character development interesting combat.

From the beginning of the game I was hooked. Easy to understand ability tree and great graphics and cut scenes. The card game Gwen is pretty fun and I found myself playing every merchant I came across trying to win a rare Gwen card. Story was very good and depending on what answers you give when you interact with characters in the game will determine e your ending and there are 36 of them. If you have plenty time to dedicate to this game I highly suggest you buy it

I'm only a few hours in, but the game is everything I expected so far. The combat is vastly improved upon from The Witcher 2, it is now a [mostly] open world game, and the interface is much more console and controller friendly as it was not built with only PC in mind. The game is giving vibes of Red Dead Redemption meets The Witcher. Those who loved DA:I will love this game, and those who felt like playing the game was more work than fun will love this as well.

(Review based off the Xbox One version) VISUALS: The Witcher III is a very pretty game, it runs at 30 FPS consistently, with absolutely no screen tearing and no texture pop in. GAMEPLAY: Fast paced swordplay, powerful Signs (Magic Spells), and tactical traps, bombs and potions make up the meat of combat. STORY: An immersive and complex world filled with "Gray Area" choices. The game doesn't tell you who is right and who is wrong, you'll have to decide.

This game is easy to get lost in. With over 300 hours EASILY of gameplay, challenging combat, and FREE DLC, this game is the true perfect purchase. The developers singlehandedly trumped the microtransaction market that the gaming industry is being infected by and went back to the roots of gaming. They even included a game booklet, soundtrack, game map, and bestiary booklet! If you don't get it, you're missing out on playing the game of the year.

I love love love this game. Graphics are amazing and so smooth i encountered no problems at all. There is so much to do, honestly u can spend around 100 hours on this game and still not be finished with everything. Quests are just plainly fun especially witcher contracts. Characters are unique in their own way there is so many of them. Amazing game and worth every penny i paid 30$ for it on sale but would easily give 60.
