This game is so incredibly engrossing - I've had trouble putting down the controller every night. Some of the game mechanics are a little troublesome and the dialogue can be annoying to fast forward through, but I only have the most minor of quibbles with this fantastic game. If you didn't play the previous games you'll still be able to follow the story; don't let that hold you back. If you like RPGs you need to play this game.

I haven't played one RPG game, no Skyrim or for Final Fantasy for me, it was never a genre I cared about. This time though I bought into the hype and gave it a shot. This game is amazing, sooooo many things you can do in this game without ever touching the main story. The fighting is fun and fresh and the the ability to cast spells really adds to the fun as well. If you're on the fence, just grab it. It's well worth your time.

This was my first Witcher game. I was afraid that not knowing any of the background would be a huge issue. However, it's been one of the best games I've ever played. The scope is outstanding, each side quest feels fully fleshed out, and the story is engrossing. They do a good job of onboarding you into the world. I've sunk over 200 hours in and I'm nowhere near done. The fact that I keep wanting to come back speaks volumes.

The game is stunning no matter what system you choose it for. my wife bought me ps4 and I already had Xbox one so I have both systems even though I play my ps4 more I choose to buy it on Xbox one. The world is massive I have never played any of the others in the series so not to worry on that it brings you up to speed rather quick. Just make sure you have a lot of time to game unlike me because it sucks up a lot of it.

This game is made for adults and it is very well made. I believe if you liked Skyrim, you will enjoy this game. The combat is very action oriented, and is almost all sword play with some magic. Playing on my Xbox One I could not be happier with the graphics, they are outstanding. Don't be afraid to get this game if you have not played the first 2. If you need to catch up on the lore and story look for videos online.

Having spent sometime with Witcher 3 on the xbox one, it is clear that this is by far one of the best RPGs I have played in recent memory. The story is top notch and the open world setting means you are never stuck with nothing to do. Highly recommend this game to all RPG fans.

Witcher 3 is an amazingly realized world with a dark fantasy setting. The combat and traversal are nice, but the story and decision points are the real reason to play. Plus, the weather effects are really fantastic and emmersive. Lots has been made of technical issues, but I've found the Xbox One experience totally fine. I've had one nagging issue with dialog clarity, but it's pretty rare and only lasts a few seconds.

I can't believe all the dialogue that is in this game. ( I love it) There is soooo much to do I've been playing for weeks and still only level 15. The fighting is much better than previous game. There is lots of loot. And throw in the beautiful environments and the women. and well you will be busy for months if your a completetionist . Can't rush threw this one so if you love long games get this. Winter is coming.

Never played the first 2 games in the series so I will say right off the bat it would probably help to go play them or read up on the lore. That said, this game is awesome. I've spent more hours than I care to admit playing and I've barely scratched the surface of this game. The world is beyond massive. It's full of life and death for that matter. Everything is open from the start. The story is rich and definitely makes you want to know more. For a newcomer like myself it was very overwhelming to figure everything out but I'm slowly getting there. If you want a big open world, rich story, and fun gameplay, get this. You won't regret it.

I Have been waiting for this game to come out for quite some time now. i like that you dont need to play the first 2 games to understand it. It will simulate a save from the previous games if you want or you can start fresh. Graphics are amazing. Story is interesting. And my favorite thing is you get quite a few bonus items in the box for 60 bucks but above all you get a thank you note from the developers.

it has all the classic rpg elements we all love . theres some stream lineing dumbing down to reach a greater audience. but the storytelling art design and visuals are out of this world cd project is a small group of workers who have made a game better then office buildings full of employess. you can see the care and love of games that went into this there are some issues with minor frame drops clipping etc some quirks but in now way do they take away from the excellent story . and user friendly game mechanics if you like to just go explore and play a game the way you want to play it and love to grind and search out story this is the game for you ive found so many fun side missions by stumbling across them and unlocked a quest with a story and npcs you become invested in and actualy come to care about them and the world if you have a few hundred hours to search out every little thing or just wanna plow thru the story in 30 or 40 you can this game is made by gamers for gamers. in todays age everything is rushed and corners cut these devs put so much care into the game. you get free dlc and sories the game comes with a soundtrack cd instruction book character book map etc that's unheard of in this save every penny world once you pop in the game get used to the controls itll take a bit but its not frustrating after a COUPLE GHOURS YOU WILL BE WAY ON YOURE JOURNEY IN I BET ONE OF WHAT WILL BE YOUR TOP 10 GAMES OF ALL TIME ENJOY

This world is huge and just waiting to be explored. There are many side quests and activities that keep you from just running the main story, so make sure to explore and don't just follow the path! The graphics are great, yet they aren't as amazing as it seemed to be promised.. But there is supposed to be s patch coming for that. The movement of the game is a little clunky.. It's really easy to do the wrong thing and end up dead fast. I've noticed a lot of audio tears as well which can be annoying but there is subtitles. Hopefully all the little annoying things are patched soon and this game would get a 5 star rating.

Where do I start. This is how you make an RPG. The story is great, the map is gigantic, the characters are interesting, the combat is perfect. If you like long, great games, buy this right now. The Xbox One version of this game runs flawlessly, I didn't experience any frame rate drops in my 100hour gameplay session. I can't wait for the DLC to come out so I can do some more monster hunting!

A fantastic game, set in the land of Temeria. You are Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher that hunts the creatures of the world, although not all is at it seems. A very dark, brooding story with lots of gore and plenty of adult situations, this is a very mature game with an epic tale. Very long, with man side quests, tons of characters and dialogue, branching path and choices, and excellent graphics.

The Witcher series gets better with each iteration. Witcher 3 has a slow start to allow players get used to its play style. This series has a deep storyline and your actions affect the game world around you. If you like action/adventure games then this game is worth your time and you will not be disappointed! I highly recommend Witcher 2 for fun and the back story leading up to Witcher 3.

The witcher 3 is a great 1 player game. The story in the game is great. The game is pretty long and very large in terms of the maps. But that's a good thing if you are spending $60 on a game. It was definitely worth the money. The game is challenging but not to overwhelming. The fighting style in this game is a little different than most but a new way of playing is good sometimes.
