A restrained picture compared to the depravity that McKee can go to... but still an expertly made, and intriguing supernatural thriller.

This one I had to watch a few times cause it took a different direction I thought it was going but overall decent. Was hoping for more Bruce Campbell but again a decent horror film.

Intense Movie

I basically bought this DVD because, well, there's Bruce Campbell listed on the front cover. He's not a big character, but he's there in the beginning and he's back at the end. So I wasn't disappointed. He plays such a nice guy and he's almost the hero. The movie is about witches at an all girl boarding school - how can this not make a good movie! But it does get a little confusing, so you may want to pay attention - it's not just about fancy killings. It's also set in the 1960's, which I think is very interesting. It doesn't effect the plot any, but it does make it more fun! It's not scary, but the singing is a little creepy. And the girls are quite vicious towards each other. And Patricia Clarkson is very atttractive.

the woods is a good horror /thriller movie and not like most horror films and if you like the director lucky mckee films than check this one out bc it is a good old fashion horror film and the bluray looks and sounds very good on bluray so check it out if you want to see good film
