I originally wanted this because I enjoyed it when it was originally broadcast, but my two boys are watching it with me and are learning a lot from it! The way it is narrated over a reenactment, is a great way to keep students interested - they're basically learning and not even realizing it.

First of all I was a big fan of The Men Who Built America!!! So knowing this came from the same producers/creators I was already in favor!! This does not disappoint!!! If they only taught history like this in school!! Even got my fiance talking about it, and she does not like history at all

I studied the wars in school, and heard tales of the wars from my parents and grandparents, but this series really made me feel like I lived through those times. It really fleshes out the heroes and the villains and provides perspective on why the world is the way it is today!

Saw it when it originally aired on the history channel and couldn't stop re-watching it. It's like if the history channel and HBO got together and made the coolest origins story of each leader during both World Wars. Just buy it!! You won't regret it!!!

Very cool that you can get this type of series to add to your Blu Ray collection. Yes, it can be boring if you are not interested in the history behind war, through the eyes of certain leaders. Just a different insight. History buffs will enjoy!

Very good production value, only nitpick using military equipment that was not relevant for specific scenes. Such as a WW1 portrayal of Patton with a M5A1 Stuart of WW2 vintage. Or showing US troops marching into captivity in place of Russian troops for a German invasion of the Soviet Union scene.

This is a very made documentary that ties the most famous leaders from WW2 to how they had their foundings during WW1. It was made by the History Channel. If you like history documentaries I would recommend this.

This is by far one of the best documentarys on the people of the first two world wars. Excellent story line, and acting. Also gives a deeper look at all involved. A must have for history buffs.

Big WWII buff. I was pleasantly surprised by this DVD. It attempts to tie the two world wars together and stresses the effect of the first war on the future leaders of the various opponents in WWII and succeeds pretty well.

This is an excellent documentary on the the world leaders during the Second World War, it should be required viewing in any history class at the secondary or collegiate level.

Educational and entertaining. A creative look at history like never before,or at least, never covered in the history books used at the schools I attended. Well acted. Definitely worth the time to view

I love the history channels documentaries. The America series was fantastic and this did not fail to impress by any means. Recommend for any student or history buff.

This is History, is always good to own stuff like this. for everyone to watch i saw this on the history channel when it aired so i had to get it.

Until I saw this, I had no idea that Germany funded the creation of the Soviet Union with ten million dollars to take Russia out of the war.

This is a great narrative of the two world wars. It is smooth and ties all the events together. Good to watch more than once.

Possibly the greatest documentary series ever on World War 1 and World War 2, or as Winston Churchill observed "30 Year of War".

Not knowing a ton about WWII I can't comment on the accuracy of the information presented, but it was very educational.

This movie is fantastic and I am not a real big fan of history movies but this one is SO worth watching!
