    You do not really get an instant reading. We grilled up some 3/4” thick pork chops the other day on our gas stove, and found that it took between 10 to 30 seconds to reach the maximum temperature. But, it does seem to be more accurate and reads quicker than our old analog/dial meat thermometer!

    Great thermometer for the price. A digital thermometer that instant reads for $10 from a brick and mortar shop where you can still return items live is a hard find. Great job Best Buy!

    I have had some misreads on temperatures with certain meats. steaks read almost perfect but every other type of meat was always way under then what it said
