This concert was filmed in 1981, when Genesis was on tour in support of its Abacab album, which marked the band's transition from progressive rock to more mainstream fare. Phil Collins, a virtual unknown prior to Peter Gabriel's departure, is front and center here and shows that he's got what it takes to be a consummate showman - skills that he would rely on more and more in later years as the band achieved ever greater popularity. The show list moves along at a brisk pace, making the already-short concert (83 minutes) go by very quickly. Even so, it's an enjoyable show. The visuals are strong, given how hold the recording is, and the audio is great. A worthy addition to any blu-ray lover's collection.

Few great bands can survive the loss of their lead singer; fewer still that survive the loss of their lead guitar; and only a very few that subsequently exceed the fame of the previous incarnation. Deep Purple comes to mind. But, this DVD shows why Genesis claims the top spot for comebacks.

If you liked Duke and Abacab, you will love 3 Sides Live. Interesting behind the scenes footage interspersed. The In the Cage/Cinema Show/Colony of Slippermen medley is a highlight - five excellent musicians on the same page. Worth the trip down memory lane.

I've been waiting forever for this concert to be released! First time on Blu-ray (I don't think it was ever released on DVD). A must have for Genesis fans. Great concert, great music. Image looks great and the high resolution audio is superb.

I could not wait for this to buy this. This is a good presentation of the band on tour with live performances and some backstage interviews etc edited in. The blu-ray looks as good as this footage ever will and the sound is great.

A great period for the band and some really good interviews. The disc also includes some audio only versions of songs cut short in the video.

If you owned this double live cd during the 90's and wondered what it look like on video--this is the one to get!

The best its ever been. So good to see this on Blue Ray. One of the Best around. Good picture and sound.
