Great Game Pad for Layers of Fear

I am a part time gamer, but a huge Horror fan. So, I love playing Layers of Fear. First with a mouse then with one of those $20 game pads. Then my good friends kid told me about Pro Game Pads. I saw this Game Pad and thought I would give it a try. WOW! I think I just made a mistake. I cannot quit playing Layers of Fear. This game pad made playing this game so much more real. Layers of Fear is not a shoot'em up game but a game where you need to go slow sometimes, to look behind doors and open desk drawers. After making some adjustments to the mini stick via the Thrustmaster software. I was able to adjust them to go slow for looking around and then fast to get out of trouble. Some might say, they are not wireless, so there not worth it. But I like using wired trackballs and controllers because they have instant reaction time. Oh, and the customization of the controller is awesome. So many options with the swappable mini sticks & D pad. You can also get different color packages for this Game pad so when your friend gets one you will know which one is yours. I am using it in the typical Xbox configuration on a PC with Steam and the controller was easily recognized. I would definitely recommend this game pad, now that I am not a part time gamer.

I originally bought this controller as a gift for my brother. He loved it (still does) and it started helping him get better. I then had to get one for myself, and I began feeling a difference in my gameplay as well. It feels great in your hands, bigger than the standard xbox controller, but that doesn’t mean you need big hands to use it; my hands are very average sized. I play 2-3 nights a week regularly, and a lot more over the summer, with a year passed, i still have not experienced any issues in the slightest. The cord is long, feels durable, and literally has never once tangled for me. The buttons are very clicky (idk how else to say it) and responsive. And if I did begin to experience drift stick (which I have not after a year) then I can simply replace the analog sticks in seconds. It’s simply amazing. I recommend it to anyone who plays regularly. I could ramble on for a while about how much I like this controller.

Is it worth the money, I am not sure but I am sick and tired of the official microsoft gaming controller dying after 2 years of use for no known reason (about $70 each) and decided to go for a more expensive, highly rated controller. For me it works how a mid-range controller should work. I have only used it in cyberpunk 2077 so their maybe advantages in other games that I don't know about.

    Disappointing controller for the price

The controller feels quality and in-game is very responsive. I don't have many other positives for this controller. The controller is for people who fat finger buttons and have bigger hands. IF YOU PLAY CLAW THIS CONTROLLER ISNT FOR YOU. The Start and select buttons are a lot farther away than a regular Xbox controller and it feels like you have to actually reach for the buttons. Im returning the controller due to one of the joysticks already going bad after just a day of use. It wasnt smooth compared to the other one. Dissapointing product

This is a great alternative to the PlayStation controller. I’m a PlayStation type person so using Microsoft controllers is a little awkward for me. So I bought this to be able to setup the controller like the PlayStation configuration. Works out great. Ps: I’m 6’2” so my hands are fairly big. I’ve read that the controller tend to be to big for people with small hands

Really good quality and easy to use and if you think about it, it saves you money in the long run and you don’t need to spend 60$ on a new controller when you can just replace the joysticks.

Joysticks are very accurate. However, back buttons are poorly placed for FPS gameplay and it should have a shorter joystick option. Will be returning unfortunately, since the quality top shelf.

I screwed up and didn't read the requirements prior to purchase. I can't give it a five star because I was unable to use the product. However, it seems like a quality build and felt great in hand.

The Best 3rd Party Controller So Far

I've tried a bunch of 3rd party controllers, and this is by far the best of them. [V3 Nacon Controller: 2.2/5.0 stars] (Pros): -Wired/Wireless -Good materials -Adjustable weight -Extra stick grips -USB C (Cons): -Hard to grip shape and use triggers sometimes, even for big hands -Price for a basic-ish controller is pretty steep -No real tactility -Hard to grip sticks, a bit too smooth to grip (Other) -Personally not a fan of the rubber grips as they get dirty quicker and are harder to clean -So so extra buttons [Razer Wolverine TE - 3.7/5.0] (Pros): -Great tactile buttons -Great shape thats easy to grip -Decent extra buttons -Good Materials -Somewhat cheaper price than others (Cons): -Keyed cable port is made so you MUST use a razer cable unlike the other two's keyed ports -Controller developed a noise on the left trigger after 1-1/2 years of use -VERY hard to grip sticks, they have no grip to them almost and are super smooth -Wired only (Other) -Personally not a fan of the rubber grips as they get dirty quicker and are harder to clean -Not a big fan of ther abxy button material [Eswap X Pro - 4.8/5.0] (Pros): -Great shape thats easy to hold -Best tactile buttons on a controller i've used -Swappable parts for extended life + designs -Very low input lag -Great Materials -Good stick grips (Cons): -Wired Only -Glossy top middle part will just get smudged -So so extra buttons (Other): -No rubber gripping makes it much easier to clean

Worth every penny, very durable and extremely precise I am using it on pc and will only play controller with a handful of games after buying this controller I've been using it for almost every game. The software is very in depth for customization and if you ever have a joystick drift or stop working it's modular and that stick can be replaced!

At the time of this writing, the software was not available to download so I didn’t get the chance to try that. But from what it says, you’re able to adjust the sensitivity and dead zones for both the sticks and the triggers, as well as the rumble strength. Pro: -Interchangeable sticks, cursor, and side grips -Feels premium -Triggers have good response -Button mapping on the fly Con: -Sticks are higher than normal controllers -Bumpers feels soft -Back buttons are awkward to press -Can’t adjust tension in the sticks -Not wireless This controller is definitely unique in its customizability, and most of it works, but there are a few flaws that they couldn’t have done better to really push this further. It has some heft to it and feels like a premium product. This controller allows for you to swap out the sticks and cursor essentially allowing it to be more like either the Xbox or Playstation controller. Most of the swappable parts are held on by strong magnets and can be removed just pulling it out. The exception being the triggers that require the included screwdriver. The other swappable parts are the side grips and the pads on the sticks. Most of the buttons feel good and clicky, more like a mouse. The triggers feel great and solid, better than other controllers I’ve had. There’s a good balance between resistance and the weight of it. There’s a toggle that will allow each trigger to be fully depressed or capped at 50% for hair trigger actions. The bumpers are not as good. They feel like hollow plastic and there’s a spongy feel after the click. It feels more like they belong on cheap third party controllers. Then there are the back buttons. For me, as someone who has small hands, they are awkward to press and mostly slows me down more than clicking the actual front buttons. I have to change my grip to feel around for the right buttons using the corner of my fingers. They should have used paddles like the XBox Elite controllers or the PS4 attachment. The sticks are taller than the standard controller, and for me feels too high. They don’t feel stiffer than a normal controller, but it has less of a wiggle. I was hoping to be able to adjust the tension like with the Xbox Elite Controllers, but you can only do adjustments in the app. With the app, you will be able to adjust the dead zone and sensitivity, but I didn’t have the chance to try that out. The thumb pads can be changed between round on concave. On the bottom of the controller, you have the volume control and mute button along with the 3.5 headset connection. Next to that is the profile buttons and the Map button that allows you to customize the back buttons. You can remap the buttons instantly without the app by hitting the map button and holding the button you want to remap. While this won’t make you instantly better at gaming, the more responsive button presses, especially the triggers at 50% should give you at least faster reactions in shooters. I don’t like the feel of the bumpers, and I didn’t find the sticks to be noticeably different from a standard controller (at least not without adjusting them in the app). And unless I learn to get used to the back buttons, I find them not that useful and would have preferred paddles instead. Still for the feel and the ability to use all the functions of the Xbox controller on my pc with the PS4 configuration is a great plus. It's a toss up between this and the Elite controller.

It was a good controller only probably was triggers went bad faster than I thought they would so if you are a serious fps shooters the bumpers and triggers are made too cheaply for you to really enjoy the controller to its full lifespan

The controller feels amazing in hand from where the paddles are and how you can swap everything. Only down fall is the software… If you have a windows operating system youll have no problem… but… if you have an apple os forget about any updates that come the controllers way.. Wish it was advertised before I bought it…

Quality feels really good. Buttons and thumb sticks feel like they will last forever. My issue was the size of the controller. I am a big guy at 6'5" but I still struggled to reach the back buttons. Maybe I am use to paddles on the Elite Series 2 controller but the back buttons on this controller were not convenient to use for me. When I plugged my headset into the controller my friend said the sound quality of my voice took a huge drop and it made my microphone extra sensitive. Every breath I took was picked up by the microphone this is not an issue on any other controller I have. If I had a wireless headset I would've been happier with the controller. It's very comfortable and I like the look but at this price point I went with a Razer Wolverine Tournament Edition which I am much happier with and saved a lot of money. Such a cool controller just not something that gets the job done for me. Requires a day one update I plugged it up to my PC and it was a seamless process so easy. Xbox also has an app you can use too for customizing buttons.

I was looking for a controller for my series x and it was either this one or the Elite Series 2. I'm glad I got the Eswap X Pro. This is the best controller I've ever owned. The software makes this controller so customizable.
