This seems like a great entry level force feedback steering wheel for those casual gamers that may want to dip their toes in the steering wheel arena, but be warned, that you can easily spend many thousands of dollars creating a full simulator. For me, this steering wheel is just what I was looking for. It is packed with features, and I think for the price they should have added more, but if you can catch this while on sale, it would be a steal. At first, I wasn’t in love with the layout and design of the buttons and controls, but after some use, they have grown on me, and I now find them easy and intuitive to use. The leather wrapped steering wheel feels solid and premium, but that premium feel stops there since the rest of the wheel is hard plastic. The buttons themselves do feel nice, but again, not premium and they do the job. One of my favorite features is the built-in display, and it is a welcome addition. There is a dedicated display button where you can toggle between speed, lap time, current position, engine RPM, etc., and that will depend on the game that you are playing. I honestly don’t use it a lot, but once in a while I do glance down and it is nice to have. One of my biggest gripes is with the paddle shifters, they are a hard plastic and I do wish they were a little bigger than they are, however, the noise they make when you click them is very loud and distracting. Thrustmaster should have made these a lot quieter and I found that I could even hear them when I had my headphones on too. Force feedback has 3 different settings, but I struggled to find a difference between them with the games I played. My main game was Project Cars on the PS4 and, perhaps it was just the game, but I couldn't discern any difference between the modes. Maybe it was just me and I am not an expert, nor do I have a ton of experience using force feedback wheels, so take that into advisement. Included are a set of pedals that, to me were very good and responsive. You can move them around to fit your style, but I just kept them in the factory settings. The brake pedal feels stiff, but you are given an even stiffer spring if you wanted to use that. The factory one was perfect for my needs though. The pedals themselves have grips for hard floors and stayed in place on mine, however, if you have carpet, these might have a tendency to move around. Another gripe I have is the short USB Type A cable that is included. It is only 6’ long and in my opinion, should be at least 10’ or more. I imagine a USB type A extender may work, but I haven’t had a chance to try one out. The power cable is a little short as well, so I did use a regular household extension cable to get some more length out of that. Another thing to keep in mind, is that you may have to update the steering wheel to the latest firmware before your PlayStation will recognize it properly and to do that, you MUST use a PC from what the documents say. Overall, I feel that it is a bit overpriced and if you can get it while on sale, then you can’t go wrong with picking this up. I was lucky enough to receive the Thrustmaster T248 Racing Wheel and Magnetic Pedals. This is my 1st Racing Wheel since the early days of Nintendo Wii. Things have come along way since then. One of the most important things to know about this racing wheel or any racing wheel for that matter. You have to make sure it is secure, while playing. Don’t be so excited that you hold it in your lap while playing… accidents will happen. Secure it to a table, create a stable environment OR Create or Buy a Racing Rig. Oh, what fun! I am in the process of adding the Shifter before I build a rig, but it will be awesome. Right now, I have it Secured to a worktable and the pedals underneath. If you use a computer/gaming chair on wheels, best to secure it too or you will roll away from the pedals. Sorry back to the review… the only thing that is a negative to me is the Metal paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel, every time you click them, it is a loud enough sound that you will wake someone sleeping in another part of the house, I learned the hard way, sorry honey. Way noisier than a mechanical keyboard. Other than that, it is a great device, comes with two springs for adjusting the brake pedal, can adjust all the pedals for comfort. The wheel is wrapped in leather for the true racing feel, the other materials are a sturdy plastic, does not feel like it will break easily. Buttons galore, too many to list. There is also a race display that lets you choose what you display. It has a Hybrid Drive System, part mixed belts and part gear mechanism. The feedback is incredible from the wheel and the pedals. Feels like you’re hitting every bump and wall. The one thing that is important that I am still working on are the adjustments. Every game is a little different and every race you might need some tweaking depending on the surface and the car, but it’s fun to tinker with it. If you are used to playing racing games from a keyboard, you gotta try this, if not you’re missing out! (All Pictures are my temporary set-up, while designing my Racing Rig)

Got this for my PS5 and I can say I love it! It was worth every penny!!! The force feedback and the petals are really good!

The wheel has a nice leather-like material on the outside, and contours on the inside making it very easy to grip. There are a good number of face buttons within easy reach, the shifter paddles on the back feel okay but make a loud click when pressed. The clamp mount for the wheel is sturdy on a flat surface, but if there is a support bar running along the front it may be hard to get a good grip. Force feedback is where it really shines, can really feel the “fight” through turns, and can experience every bump and texture in the road. Going over to the pedal set it's made primarily of plastic with metal heads, the gas and clutch are smooth with almost no resistance, while the brake takes a stiff press, and has an interchangeable spring to make it stiffer. Unfortunately, there's very little grip on the bottom so it will work better if you have a desk frame to put it against to keep it in place. You can easily move all the pedals left or right, and the gas pedal can also be moved up and down to get everything in the perfect spot for you. Overall, I would highly recommend this!

What an absolutely cool addition to my PS5. I picked up this because I LOVE the racing games I have and wanted a more realistic experience than using a standard controller. While this is desk/table mountable, I decided to also invest in a stand so that I could use it in front of our great room TV. Setup was pretty straightforward. I needed to ensure that the PS5 was updated to the latest OS. Then I just simply followed the instructions included, connecting the various components together, plugging it into the wall and turning on the PS5. Once powered on, the steering wheel automatically calibrates, so don’t freak out when it seems to be turning on its own. It’s part of the initialization. It’s taken a bit of getting used to and some sensitivity tuning (explained in the included instructions), but it takes game play to a whole new level. I’ve used it for Gran Turismo 7 and Dirt 5 and it’s brought a new dimension to gaming for both titles.

If you like playing racing games the Thrustmaster T248 is an awesome and fun accessory for taking your racing games to the next level. It added an immersiveness that I never felt with a regular controller. Setup and teardown are simple. The steering wheel attaches to any desk or table surface with an adjustable clamp and the pedals just sit on the floor. The only Issue I had with setting it up was because the pedals slid around on the floor. Luckily, I was able to use the box as a brace between the pedals and the wall. The steering wheel is specifically meant for use with the PS4/PS5. However, it also worked great with the Xbox app on my gaming PC. There is no software download or anything else necessary to use it. But I was a little disappointed because it doesn't work with all racing games. So, before buying you may want to check the Thrustmaster website to see if it is compatible with any specific games you intend to play. In my use I was able to play DIRT 5 and Forza Horizon without any issues. The steering feedback was good and when I was coming out of turns the wheel would automatically center itself. The pedals on the other hand were just okay. They were very responsive, but I would have preferred if the brake wasn't so hard and if the pedals were spaced a little farther apart. Because after about an hour of playing my legs would cramp up. Overall, Like I said in the beginning of this review, it is an awesome and fun accessory for taking your gaming to the next level and it receives my recommendation.

This is one of the best available wheels I have used for an entry level sim setup. The force is adequate and the pedals are great for this price point, especially with the different spring rates that are included. The paddles are a little loud, but I find them slightly more satisfying than the competitors ones that sound like a computer mouse clicking.

My son absolutely loves this race wheel set up. It's not cheap but much more affordable than many other similar racing set ups. The quality of the pedals and the feedback are pretty awesome.

This is my first racing wheel. Everything about it is great. From my opinion on force feedback to the way it makes you feel like your driving is superb. The only thing that really gets in the way is how the wheels settings sometimes get in the way because of key bindings. Id be well in the zone of driving and all of a sudden my buttons dont work because i pressed the mode button. Id blame it on driver error haha. Either way its a great wheel id recommend.

Good wheel, great pedaled, way better than the g29. Just wish I could change the wheel itself. I want to put a ferrie wheel on it but can.

First wheel I've ever bought/used. Love the Force-Feedback. Extremely responsive. Only drawback is that the click of the paddle shifters are a little loud. Initially, I considered returning this and looking at Logitech's wheel because of this. However, once I started playing, I quickly forgot about it/tuned it out. Great wheel and will likely be upgrading to one of Thrustmaster's higher-end wheels in the future.

Wheel is very nice but I would recommend buying a frame for the setup. Finding a place to mount the wheel and have the pedals not slip while pressing them has been an issue. Would also have liked the wheel a bit larger but its not horrible. The paddle shifters are pretty noisy as well but work as intended. Overall good wheel kit.

loved the amount of force available for the price, but for people who use it on their desk and not a dedicated setup, constantly unplugging the cables causes connectivity issues and thrustmaster has terrible customer support, when i lost my power cable my only option was to buy a random power adapter after lots of research, instead of figuring out how to ship the replacement cable from the UK to the US as only the UK website has a replacement cable. will probably go logitech if i got another cheap wheel, but most likely i will be saving up for a fanatec

started playing American Truck Simulator, which is kinda hard to play with just keyboard. this set was on sale so I picked it up. it made the game so much better I started playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 as well, and even gave a racing game a try. it is my first steering wheel controller, but I believe it's a good one. installation is just plugging everything in, and each game has it's own setup so once you get all the buttons set up your way it's really easy to use. the only "problem" I could mention is more of my own situation than a problem with the wheel itself. my computer desk has a sliding tray under it for the keyboard, and it can interfere with the lever used for tightening the mount to the desk. I've figured out a way to make it work, but keep it in mind if your desk is similar.

Very good wheel and pedal set for the price. The load cell brake pedal is great and I love the adjustability of the different springs and spacers provided. Pair with the PSVR2 and the immersion is unbelievable!!!!! Force feedback is just right for my wheel stand pro. Only 2 things hold it back from 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐s. 1: The wheel itself feels a bit cheap due to the plastic rim. 2: It would be nice if the rim were a little bit larger in diameter.

Great product very easy to set up and fills like you're driving the cars for real, my daughter can learn how to drive before she actually drives...people watch out my daughter is a crazy driver lol

Amazing wheel. After 40hrs of racing with the wheel I feel much more control of the car. I use it for F1 the most and GT7. I highly recommend this wheel.

This is one of the best purchase I’ve made for my racing games.
