Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the engaging gameplay of Thymesia, citing its fun and original take on established game mechanics, rewarding combat system, and fast-paced fluidity. Many enjoyed the power-ups and found the game to be a generally positive experience. However, some players found the initial difficulty challenging and frustrating. The overall feedback suggests a compelling game with a potentially steep learning curve.

Thymesia has clear roots in the “souls-like” genre, and excels at it. I would call this more of a Sekiro-like game in terms of combat mechanics. Aesthetically it’s definitely drawing from Bloodborne. Structurally it’s almost mirroring Demon’s Souls in terms of level design. With all that out of the way: this game is amazing. I’ve played, and platinumed about 50 different souls like games, and I can truly say this is worth the time and money. One of the best I’ve played in this genre. It reminds me of mortal shell a hit in terms of length and bang for your buck. The bosses in this are some of the most challenging I’ve faced in a while. The weapons mechanics are actually really neat and fun to grind for items to level them up. The lore is the weakest part of this game. Magical blood and beasts that derive from it, make the story a completely generic Bloodborne lore. Creativity lacks in that department. 8/10 from me. Hoping for a DLC (left a 5 star for the price, can’t beat a wonderful game for that tag)

The once thriving Kingdom of Hermes has fallen to an age of calamity. Seen as the answer to all the kingdom’s ailments, alchemy became a widely used practice across the land, with denizens welcoming it into their homes, using it to enhance and heal as they saw fit. When the price of alchemy became too steep, attempts to halt its use were made, each as woefully unsuccessful as the last, with the catastrophic consequences felt across the realm. Within days, the kingdom fell to chaos, infected monsters prowling the blood-soaked streets, all hope of a cure lost. Corvus is the kingdom’s final hope, the fate of Hermes resting in his feathered hands. The truth is buried deep in the memories Corvus left scattered throughout the punishing world, and only by collecting these lost memories can the kingdom be saved, but each time he dives back in, trying to piece together the truth, all he finds is more secrets. If you love Elden Ring, your going to absolutely love Thymesia, it is the next bwst thing out there & I brought BOTH the Playstation 5 & Xbox Series X versions to add to my collection!

It’s not Bloodborne. It’s not a AAA FromSoft or Team Ninja game. It’s not a massive 100+ hour Souls-Like. But Thymesia is a lot of fun and I would recommend to any Souls fan. It has an interesting world and story to explore. There are only 3 stats to level up but instead of adding another ~7 character attributes there is a substantial skill tree to unlock. The several plague weapons are you can use are a nice touch. Don’t expect an extensive and deep RPG as regardless of which path you pick first every play through feels the same in the end. The graphics also feel more like early PS4 gen. Despite these limitations Thymesia is a fun, challenging, and rewarding experience.

Most souls games are hard while this game is hard it’s not as bad as others. The combat feels fast and fluid. The graphics are solid for an indie game. Give it a shot.

A Souls-like that accomplishes what it set out to do, combining FromSoft's Sekiro parry mechanic with a Bloodborne-esq esthetic with a dash of Resonance of Fate's scratch damage system. The games big selling point is it's "Plague weapon" system that allows the main character to steal the weapon ability of the different enemy types and use them in combat. The first boss is quite a challenge, but very rewarding.
