Great vac for dry hard-floor use

I’ve reviewed a handful of vacuums over time to the tune of a Shop Vac, Dustbuster style hand-held, stick vac, wet/dry pet vacuums and so on, but none of them were ‘hard floor’ only and now that I’m just about carpet free, I was excited to take this one on.
TL;DR for my frequent readers and details below.
Pros:
Lightweight
Quiet
Dry cleaning
Debris collection
Docking station
Accessories / Extra parts
Run time
Cons:
Wet cleaning regiment
Blinking lights if you don’t keep water in the vac
Meh:
You lose the meaning of the lights if you remove the sticker from the display
Can’t collect dirt in certain places
When I initially read about this vacuum, it seemed more geared to cleaning up spills, not being a spray mop / vacuum combo.
My review is solely on the dry aspect of the cleaning as I was ‘turned off’ by the mandatory cleaning regiment instructions after each and every wet cleaning (see pic).
I’ve been using a V8 stick vac for a number of years meant for rugs/carpet, on the hard floors. While it gets the job done, it does kick things like cat litter around & can take a bit more time to get a nice clean look to a hard floor. Enter the Tineco iFloor 3.
Assembly was a breeze and the vacuum was packaged very well for transport. Instead of having a cord to recharge this battery-operated vacuum, it has a fantastic docking station that saves room for the extra accessories that you’ll need to be able to use if you elect to use this as a wet vac as well.
You always know where the battery level is while it’s charging and if it’s fully charged, the display is totally dark. On the display is a static sticker that explains what each of the lights mean; when the sticker is removed, so are the words – meaning you need to either keep the book handy, memorize the light icons, or leave the sticker on. I left the sticker on.
After being left to fully charge, I went to the litter box area, where the cats are notorious for kicking litter everywhere, even with a catch mat. I was blown away.
The running noise is so quiet compared to other battery operated vacuums and the paint-roller-like brush doesn’t kick anything out into the room as it all travels up into the “dirty water tank.” When taking the tank off, the HEPA filter needs to be removed & will show you even more dirt/hair that it caught. Absolutely fantastic. Cleaning has a few more steps than my old V8 stick vac, but it’s a less dusty / messy process.
A runtime of 18-25 mins is expected, depending on mode – eco vs full power. I can’t say that we ever put it to that test, but it’s never stumbled, hiccuped or run out in my usage.
Now I did find that areas before flooring transition strips (lower to higher floors) debris isn’t picked up as there is a distance from the front of the vac to where the roller is, that things can’t be reached. I also found this to be true when pushing it up against a wall, leaving some smaller things still on the floor. Given that this isn’t a zero bezel vac (do they make those?), I really can’t fault it. The turning radius of the handle is fine but doesn’t go a full 45 degrees - probably more like 20.
Something to note. Since I’ve been using it as a dry vac, when on the charging dock, lights related to the ‘wet’ feature stay illuminated to say “hey, it’s low on clean water” - whereas I don’t want to use the water yet have to see the light. I wish there was a way to turn the light off, besides some electrical tape.
Between my wife & myself, we’ve used this probably two dozen times and each time we’re impressed. Have hard floors? Have pets? People with long hair? It gets things like hair, food, litter and dust bunnies with near zero effort.
To be honest, this is a 5-star vac that I had to knock a star off of, due to the expectation of it being a floor mop, the ‘you need more water’ lights and hefty cleaning regiment needed if I did decide to use the ‘wet’ feature.

A few years ago, we got a cordless stick vacuum for our house. We love using it in-between our robot vacuum sweeps but we still end up having to mop the kitchen floor which is linoleum. Since we’re always looking for ways to make tasks more efficient, this wet/dry vacuum seemed like a good option for our family.
When you pull the vacuum out of its box, make sure to look through all the packaging because there are additional parts included and I almost threw out the extra dry filter because it was tucked away inside some cardboard. Even though assembly is required, it’s very minimal. You have to attach the handle to the main body of the vacuum, plug the base into power, and then set the unit on the stand. Once the battery is charged, you can start using it.
According to the manual, these are the steps you have to take for operation.
Prepare for use - includes charging the vacuum for about four hours
Press the power button to start the vacuum. It’s in ECO mode by default. There is a “MAXIECO” button that switches between the MAX and ECO modes.
Before using the WET function of the vacuum, fill the clean water tank and add one bottle cap of the solution.
The vacuum does come with a lot of parts, but some of them are duplicates so that you have your first replacement roller and filter with the original purchase. I always like it when companies provide that first part replacement.
As far as operation goes, the vacuum is fairly simple. You press the power button and it turns on. If there the cleaning solution is in the clean water tank, the vacuum will both mop and vacuum simultaneously. If the water tank is empty, the vacuum will still run, but obviously will not provide the mopping function. The roller will still spin, however, so you do get a bit of a deeper dry cleaning than without it.
There are two functions that I want to point out - one that I like and one that I don’t. The first is the fact that you don’t have the option to select wet or dry. You have to use both. The only way that I’ve found to vacuum only is to leave the clean water tank empty. The problem there is that you end up with blinking lights on the display, which can get annoying.
The function I LOVE is that the vacuum is self-propelled. I was shocked when I turned it on for the first time and the vacuum nearly zoomed out of my grip. I just wasn’t expecting that much power from a cordless vacuum.
I haven’t run into a battery problem yet. The manual states that on ECO mode the vacuum should run for 25 minutes. I haven’t had a single cleaning session last that long yet so I don’t know the ‘real’ life of the battery. The battery did have some charge out of the box. I did charge it some before using it the first time, but not the full 4-hours.
I have been happy with the suction power of the vacuum and the cleaning ability of the mop, however, I did notice that any sticky spots or heavy stains will not be picked up by this vacuum. I ran the vacuum in our kitchen - moving it back and forth several times on each section of the floor. I noticed that the floor did appear shiny and wet so I know the mopping function was cycling the cleaning solution onto the floor. The floor did dry quickly I did think that it felt a lot cleaner than before I used the vacuum. I did have a couple of spots where something had been spilled and left to dry that the vacuum did not clean up. That said, a couple of lighter stains were removed if I left the vacuum sitting on top of it so that the roller brush could concentrate on that spot.
I like the features of this vacuum and its ease of use, but I do wish there were a couple of things added on (a dry/wet option, a heavy stain cleaning option, etc.). I love that a base plate is included because that gives the vacuum a spot to ‘live’ in as well as keeps the roller off the floor as it dries. All in all, I think this is a nice device.
Pros:
Easy set-up/assembly
Cordless
Powerful self-propelling function
Cons:
Only picks up surface dirt; harder stains or things ‘stuck’ to the ground will require heavier cleaning
Doesn’t have a ‘dry only’ setting unless you remove the water from the tank

This product is a great value proposition. I love how easy it is to use and how effectively it cleans. However if you want to buy this I must warn you, do NOT skimp on cleaning after each us. This thing will stink to high heaven and you will have to take apart the receiving resevoir and soak it in it vinegar overnight just to get it to not smell like a dog poop factory. Still it beats owning a roomba!

I’m giving it 4 stars because I do love this thing! It definitely gets my floors clean with minimal effort! I have 5 animals and two kids- we are a busy household! Does it replace a vacuum? For me no- now someone who does not own pets or maybe a smaller number maybe. But with all my animals I have to vacuum every day and before I use the Tineco. Now it definitely picks up the hair but too much hair will have you start a self clean and I would have to do that like 20 times! Even after vacuuming the Tineco still seems to catch all the left over hair which is nice to see, plus all that dirty water!! So it doesn’t replace my vacuum but it definitely helps me clean my floors better than I could before. The self clean is a nice add on- you still have to empty the dirty water before and after the self clean but it’s really not that hard! The battery life has never died on me- when I first got it I thought it wasn’t going to last long enough but it’s been able to keep up with cleaning- honestly the only thing stopping me mid cleaning is emptying the dirty water or getting more clean water. All in all I love it, replaces my mops for sure. Would I recommend it-yes. Would I buy again yes! Wish it were less expensive but by now I feel like it’s earned it’s keep.

Bought this for my daughter because she has several dogs and a three year old child that make it difficult to mop during waking hours. First time she used it she couldnt believe how quiet it was, how easy it was to use and how dry the floor was immediately after use. The baby ran through the freshly worked area without slipping and falling. My daughter told me this machine is a game changer and that all her strees and worry that goes along with wet floors is gone. She couldnt be happier. No more sweeping then mopping, and no more worries. Floors look absolutely amazing when finished. This machine is self propelling, and self cleaning. I would absolutely buy this machine again, no regrets!

Love this vacuum/mop. I get the job done in half time. Easy to clean and store. Charges fast.
My old vacuum is been sitting in the closet for a few months now since I started using this new one. The charge lasts a long time, I can do both upstairs and downstairs in a single charge.

Very happy with cleaning of wet mop feature

I got the Tineco about a week ago and so far have been happy with wet mop feature. We have a tile floor with grout which we believed to be pretty clean. The grout is dark in the busy areas, but my wife usually mops it weekly, so we figured the tiles were clean. The first time we used this, the used water basin turned a filthy black. We were both surprised by that.
We didn’t really notice a big change in the tile itself, but seeing the amount of dirt coming through the mop makes me feel it is doing a better job than the manual mopping was doing. I’m expecting with continued use we will see a noticeable change in the grout as well.
Setup is relatively straight-forward, though there are a lot of pieces (see image). My wife assembled it and said that it didn’t take too long to put together.
The instructions say to charge it before the first use. It didn’t take long to fully charge, though I didn’t pay attention to how charged it was when it arrived. After using it for 40 minutes it still had a lot of charge remaining so it should be able to cover even larger homes in a single charge.
We noticed that this uses much less water than the old mop and bucket method. The other benefit is that the floor dries pretty quickly as a result of that.
The mop is self-cleaning so you just need to make sure there is some water in the top basin when self-cleaning starts. The only complaint we had was the volume during the self-cleaning was pretty loud. If it is in a room near a TV or where you want to talk, you’ll need to increase the volume a little to hear over the cleaning. However. It only takes a few minutes to clean so I don’t see that as a big concern.
Overall, we really like the wet mop feature and hope with time the water in the return basin isn’t as black as it is now. :)
It’s a great option for quickly mopping up spills and very easy to keep the floor clean regularly.

Great little unit. Great for a small, messy cleanup. Pros: works great, always ready for an oops. Unit can self-clean rollers after use. Cons: water and dirty water receptacles are too small for any serious cleaning. Tedious to clean dirty water receptacle. CLEAN IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE, unless you like the smell of sewer water. If you fail to clean dirty water receptacle, next use you house will smell like your septic backed up.

It is like going from hand washing your clothes with a wash board, to getting a front load washer.
What I like:
It’s quick and easy to use
It cleans like no other. I got it, had just mopped my floors, put it together and I was blown away out how dirty my floors still were.
Love how it cleans itself, no more nasty mop heads or putting the cleaner heads in the washer.
Have dogs and sometimes they leave paw prints when coming in. No issue, just fill her up and vacuum mop. Done!
Cons:
I wish I bought one 2 years ago ;)
Battery is ok, but if you have a lot of floors probably want to get the newer version
Same goes with the tank. Wish it was a little larger.
Haven’t had an issues, but the tanks could fit in a little easier
Yes I’m nit picking the cons, but believe me this has been the best thing since the advent of the microwave!

There are 3 levels of this machine. Let's call them good, better, and best. My friend purchased the good one and I got the better one. I believe the only difference between the better and best is that it has "smart" options or something. But let me tell you how the better is the BEST purchase I have ever made. Far better than the good. This one automatically dispenses the cleaning solution so you don't over or under spray as with the good one. It is super easy to disassemble and clean which you'd be doing yourself a favor if you clean it after every use. No need to sweep the floor first (my favorite part). My friend has cleaned up globs of peanut butter and pudding with hers and I'm assuming mine would handle those tasks just as well. I have successfully cleaned up a pile of spilled cereal with this machine. That is about the most I've had to deal with so far. It's light, it pivots which makes turning corners and getting under furniture very easy. My only complaint is that it does not get all the way up to the edges but for me that's no big deal. I can just go along the edges once a week with a rag or something. Again.... WORTH EVERY PENNY SPENT.

With being a mom to 2 under 2 this wet vac combo definitely cuts down my cleaning time in half. It was very easy to assemble, easy to use and light weight. You definitely need to make sure you’re cleaning the parts thoroughly, especially the roller. If not, it leaves a dirty damp scent

I absolutely love the Tineco IFLOOR3. We have 2 dogs and a very furry cat that shed all day long. I used to sweep, vacuum, then mop and there was still fur smeered on the wet floor. I just could never really get the floors clean. I had been studying reviews on the Tineco and the Bissell Crosswave for a while and liked the self clean feature of the Tineco so when it went on sale I thought I would give it a try. This machine is amazing, very easy to set up and operate and easy to clean. It came in just before Thanksgiving, I set it up and let it charge while I sweep and mopped my floors (all 1400 sq feet of wood and tile), they looked clean but a bit smeared. I then ran the Tineco IFLOOR3 over the kitchen floor and couldn't believe how dirty it was. I had to empty the dirty chamber 4 times (the water was almost black and full of pet hair) and my wood floor was shiny and clean. Not a speck of dust, dirt or pet hair and not a single smeer on the floor. The self clean feature is amazing. I highly recommend the Tineco IFLOOR3 to anyone who has hardwood or tile floors.

I hesitated for a couple years buying this because of the price and went with a different brand. I didn’t like this brand vacuum cleaner at all but I’m a dyson gal. I however am addicted to this floor mop. Battery last for the whole 2100 square foot home. You don’t have to run around and find a place to plug it in. Easy to use and cleans itself! I have two dogs and a grandson so I use this vacuum mop at least twice a day and have not regretting the purchase other than waiting so long. Makes cleaning fun and easy. My grandson can crawl around in light colored clothes and not have any dirt on his knees from dogs tracking up the floors. Sucks up almost all the water so our tile is dry in minutes and that usually takes an hour for the cold tile to dry.

Good little machine. We have two dogs who play in the yard then run into house, our floors are tile and wood so this machine is great. Use it mostly to vacuum quickly when the dogs come in. Just used the wet mop for the first time today and I have to say, it did it's job. Albeit you need to go over some tougher spots a second time but it's clean and dries quickly. Love the no cables, and its very light and no that loud.

I bought this based on a recommendation from a friend and I couldn't be happier. It's fascinating and disgusting to be able to see how dirty the water is after cleaning your floors. It is extremely easy to use and clean. I wish it had slightly larger tanks so I didn't have to stop and refill/empty or self-clean but overall this was a great investment and makes it much easier and therefore me more likely to clean the floors.

This vacuum/mop combo is such a time saver. It's easy to set up and use. There are symbols on the top that indicate functional things (dirty/clean water canister is full, tangle, need cleaning etc). This one comes with an extra roller and filter. Once everything is set up and charged, you press the button to start (which won't until you put the handle down) and it gets to work.. It seems self propelled so barely any effort is needed to work. Cleaning time is cut in half or more as you don't need to sweep or vacuum before starting... Only downside is that the clean and dirty water canisters are small and empty quickly but it empties easily so you can get back to it. I loved it so much I bought another one for my mom.
