Customers are saying

Customers enjoy Titanfall 2's classic gameplay, fantastic graphics, and fun campaign mode, praising the engaging story and great single-player experience. Many also highlight the tight controls and fast-paced action. While some found the wall-running mechanic repetitive and the initial difficulty challenging, the overall reception is overwhelmingly positive.

Bottom line up front: This game is different from the first, but this is a good thing and this game deserves all the praise it has received. The addition of a single player was much needed. The campaign is fairly short depending on which difficulty you play, but it is an excellent introduction to the game and it's mechanics. It is engaging, fun, and seemless. It brings back elements from old games where you had defined boss battles and gives a bit of nostalgia for the older generation of gamers. The multiplayer has had its ups and downs from the start but respawn had been highly active in ensuring balance and fairness in the game. You're always going to have your naysayers, and the game can den to have net code and server/client rock rate issues at times bit for the most part the gameplay is fast paced, exciting, and different everytime. The mechanics smooth, movement is smooth, and you always feel like you can learn more. The leveling up system has changed from the first and it is pretty basic and straightforward. This is good for newcomers but for those of us use to the first one, it feels bland. The lack of challenges in regeneration is sorely missed. The change to the titans was much needed. Many compassion about the lack of customisation from the first game, but the first game devolved into everyone using the same loadout and quickly became boring. This new style allows people to master a style that suits their play, or try to get comfortable with something new. The titans themselves have a rock, paper, scissors feel to them and each one had their best and worst matchups. You could be dominating one minute and then turn around and be facing your greatest weakness. This really forces players to think strategically and figure out how to best use their titan and set themselves up for success, or utter failure. The maps themselves have become more lane based, but they have included, and continue to include old maps. This again is to appeal to newcomers use to call of duty games. This helps with getting use to the games mechanics and the old feel is still there once you get use to the movement. This also allows for more predictable engagement areas and less chaos than the first one. This does not mean that you don't have to be as aware of your surroundings, far from it. Those who get good at the mechanics, movement, and maps can still reek havoc on players. This can be a problem for newcomers as this is a new concept for first person shooters. Even though call of duty tried to copy titanfall, it is call of duty players who seem to have the hardest time adapting. But I promise, if you can learn it, it is the most satisfying thing to be wall running and kill someone, drop down to execute another, leap up and fly across the map and into your titan and then destroy the enemy Titan that had been wrecking your team. You won't regret buying this game and you'll have hours of game time invested before you know it.

They make it seem like you get to spend most of the game riding wound in a giant robot, but it turns out you spend 90% of your time doing jumping puzzles. The whole wall running and double jumping thing is stupid! And there is no way to go around parts that are to hard, you are a rat in a maze forced to run the same maze as every other rat that was dumb enough to pay $40 for this piece of !%$ game.

This game is a blast to play online, easy to get multiple kill streaks to be able to call the TITAN. Titans don't last long but its a good way to balance the game, each Titan class has different fight style. The pilots get to choose between grapplehook, invisibility and a few more perks which i havens used because i'm having so much fun with that hook. Story mode is good, great add on to give you a break from the multiplayer.

I think this is one of the best games of the year, and the best and most dynamic fps game alongside Doom. The campaign, although short, is remarkable, and does not feel tacked on as well. The multiplayer is a continuation from the first game and I feel has improved on it in many ways. The multiplayer is a good example of a game that has an easy entry for beginners but high ceiling for experienced players. Great overall package.

I don't really play single player games much anymore, but this one was great. SUPERB graphics and a nice mix of platforming, mech, and regular FPS. I wouldn't waste money on the deluxe edition though.
