We love tivo

Reconnect your main TiVo box first
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm loving having access to my TiVo Roamio but I found the process of setting up this TiVo Mini to be frustrating. The new TiVo Mini wasn't seeing my Roamio box. After several false starts, my advice is to go to your main TiVo box (in my case a Roamio), go to Settings>Network>Connect to the TiVo service now and force a reconnect. I then restared the TiVo Mini and it found my Roamio! Too bad this isn't in the instructions. Instead, TiVo will tell you to wait up to 24 hours

Great add-on

I works great over my home network. It is wonderful that I can record my favorite program and start watching it in the living room, than pick right back where I left off in the bedroom. Keep in mind that the mini does not work with wireless. You must have a wired network or purchase a MoCA adapter.

Requires a little patience

There's this waiting period where you have to enter the service number onto your account online and wait several hours before the activation to take effect. Also...depending on the firmware version that is on the mini right out of the box, it may not be able to find your main tivo server until a series of updates. Once you've cleared these pesky hurdles, it works great.

Bring TiVo Bolt programming into second room!

Can use all features of the Bolt in the second room. Live tv as longer as one of the 4 Bolt tuners is available, recordings or Netflix, etc anytime. The other beauty is there's no additional service fees for the mini. Don't think it can pass 4K video, but not needed in our application.

Tivo Mini added to Bolt

Oh how easy it was in Fios Land. To get the MOCA set up to work.. I purchased a Moca Blocker form weakness and wideband splitter and that got everything up and running with all the TWC boxes. I'm looking forward to now adding additional MiNi in another room or two sometime
