I have a TiVo Roamio OTA in my family room and I purchased this unit watch live and recorded OTA in my living room. Unit was easy to setup and activate. I am considering buying another one for my bedroom.

We have 2 of these. They allow us to watch the shows recorded on our Roamio in other rooms. We use the family and rec room equally and it is useful to be able to watch our recorded shows in either room.

Not only can I get the channels in my rooms that the cable companies box didn't provide but it's so great to be able to watch my recorded shows when someone else is hogging the tv where the DVR is!

The Tivo Mini is an excellent replacement for a cable box to save on fees. It is easy to install and you are up and running after a connection to the Tivo servers within an hour.

The Tivo Mini allowed me to dump my bonus room cable box and monthly fee. It has all the functionality of my old cable box with a better user interface and DVR. The Mini does use one of the Bolt's four tuners to stream content but this has not been a problem for me. If you have a compatible Tivo and are wired for Ethernet the Mini is the way to go.

We enjoyed our new TiVo Mini so much, that we placed a consecutive order for one more. Now we're able to watch TV shows and movies in our bedrooms which are recorded on our original TiVo DVR located in another room. We are also able to access media from Netflix, Amazon, etc. Our TiVo Mini's do everything that our original TiVo DVR does, but without an additional monthly access charge.

Decent device. I was NOT aware that you cannot have more than 1 live channel. Other than that, I don't have any other complaints about it. Please be advised, though, if you didn't already know this, that you must already have a regular TiVo box in order for this to work. And if you don't have an Ethernet connection, you have to use COAX and change a few settings on your regular TiVo box in order to get this to work. It's basically an extension of your current TiVo setup, meaning you can watch what you have recorded on your regular TiVo box(s) , as well as use the apps. I haven't used too many of the apps but they seem to work well. The availability of apps selection could be larger but it does have most of the most commonly used apps.

We cut cable and ha e antenna over the air TV and it's nice to be able to record live over the air TV

My TiVo mini works exactly as advertised. The challenge was setting up a MOCA network in my house. I purchased a MOCA network adapter, POE filter and a MOCA ready splitter in order to get the TiVo mini to work. It took multiple calls to the adapter mfg and to Tivo to complete the process. In the end my TiVo Romeo plus created the MOCA network and the Mini now works great.

I have a Bolt and two Minis. The Mini is an excellent product and is very easy to set up. It says that the Bolt and Mini are not wifi enabled, but I have one of my Minis connected via Wifi using an Airport Express. My other Mini is connected via cable (moca) and the Bolt can handle the two differenr connection modes flawlessly. There is no noticeable delay on either of the Minis, and the picture is perfect.

I don't know why more people don't use TiVo. Cable companies charge anywhere from $7-$12 a month for extra boxes. Get a tivo bolt, pay for the all in subscription (it will hurt) then buy a TiVo mini for every tv in the house and it will pay for itself within a year or two. For me I was trying to save $$ and get the cheapest rental from cable company despite having fairly new hd TV's in kitchen and basement. Got the minis and was like why did I put up with low def?! You need to run these through a moca network. Look it up on line, it looks daunting but if your actual cable is in good shape and all runs meet in a utility closet or something it's not hard. Just add a filter where the cable comes in and replace the splitters so they work bi-directionally and it will be all set. No lag on the mini even though it's running off the main TiVo (it does take a sec to change channels, so if you like to arrow through stations you may not like it, I don't mind, I learned to use the guide and not flip through).

I purchased the TIVO Mini after researching about it on several TIVO Forums and reading countless reviews. As expected, the initial setup was a pain using MoCA. The Mini would constantly freeze and loose connectivity. In fairness, it may not of been the Tivo Mini's fault altogether as I needed to have Verizon come out and they changed out the box outside my home. Since the Verizon upgrade, the Mini has worked just like having a full TIVO in my bedroom. It accesses the main TIVO Roamio for all the programming etc. All in all, this is a great item if you don't want to buy an additional TIVO DVR for another room.

The benefit of your Roamio can now be spread to the whole house. Get the mini and quit paying for all of those cable company boxes. Best yet everyone gets the TIVO experience.

Although I suspect most installs don't require owners do much more than fill in a web form, I had a bit of trouble with mine. A five-minute phone call with TiVo support taught me that 1) I just needed the latest firmware on my TiVo Premier and that 2) the tech support at TiVo really knows their business. They were quick to respond, quick to identify the problem, and helpful resolving it.

I bought the original TiVo Mini that had the older style infrared remote and that didn't come with lifetime service included (I had been paying $5.99 a month service with that Mini). This new TiVo Mini now has an upgraded RF remote that works even when the Mini is behind a cabinet door. It's also the same remote that comes with the TiVo Roamio DVRs. The biggest plus for me was this Mini comes with lifetime service included, so no more $5.99 a month service fees.

the set up and function of the Tivo Mini was very easy and it has been working perfectly since hook up. Love it.

Used it to pipe cable to my son's room. Wired network requirement was initially a bummer, and using a WiFi bridge turned out to be a bad idea. Eventually switched to the NetGear Powerline adapters - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/netgear-powerline-1200-gigabit-ethernet-adapters-2-pack-white/4002029.p?id=1219639902674&skuId=4002029 - and now it's rocking!

So nice to be able to watch what's on our main TiVo in a different room and not have to worry about trying to copy shows over like it used to be.

I have added a TiVo Mini connecting thru CATV to my TiVo Bolt. Works great. No trouble installing.

TiVo is so much better than regular cable boxes. Mini allows you to use your TiVo in another room without paying a second subscription
