After having an antiquated cable box dvr downstairs I decided I would streamline and save money and finally rid myself of cable fees. I've owned Tivo for years on the upstairs tv but somehow never made the switch in the main theater ( I know, go figure, right?) and I am 100% happy I made the choice, not only do I now have a new Bolt in the theater I can use this device to mirror everything the Bolt does. The great thing is I now save $15 a month but the best thing is Its a Tivo, I have two more tuners so there is no conflict in recordings and I can view what I've recorded either up or down, also I can see what is on or recording without firing up the theater. Run don't walk to get a Bolt and Mini, best decision ive made in a long time.

I was paying Verizon 40 bucks a month for their dvr plus 3 other boxes to cover my house. I now pay 5 bucks a month for their cable card and I own 3 tivo mini and the roomio dvr. I should have purchased sooner as I have paid Verizon the cost of all these units many times over :-(

I reluctantly upgraded to the Bolt due to Comcast telling me that my old TiVo would not be compatable with a service upgrade. To cut cost I only use Comcast on our family room tv and use an HD antenna for other TV's to cut costs. The mini now allows me to watch all my premium shows in the bedroom at no extra cost. The unit streams well and has shown no signs of streaming lag. Was so happy I bought a second unit.

The minis are a must have if you have more than one TV when buying the TIVO bolt system. Very easy to install. They work great.

Great product for a second room. Much moe economic than renting a box from the cable company.

We bought new TiVo Bolts and two of these TiVo Minis to replace 3 old TiVo Premiers. These are great! I was not happy that it took 24 hours for TiVo to activate them; I had to go through the entire setup process again after the 24 hours. However, this is a one-time event and does not justify dropping the rating by a full point.

Cable company's charge roughly $120/year to lease a cable box. For that price you could buy/own a TiVo Mini in a little more than 1 year. And with no annual fees on Minis, the saviings make Minis a no brainier for cable customers.

The new Tivo Bolt, which is the base station, allows a great many more features than the previous model, including up to 4 MINIs. The MINI allows all functionality of the Bolt and it uses the same exact layout of the remote! It can be set to work Infrared or wireless which allows you the freedom to place it front and center or hide it. Once registered, it works without issue.

Really enjoying the Tivo mini and it works as expected. I cut the cord from DirecTV and went to the Tivo OTA with the Tivo mini in the bedroom. The directions say you must hard wire via ethernet, but I was able to get this to work with a wireless extender and then running ethernet from the extender to the mini. Just make sure the extender in using the same SSID as the home network. With this configuration I received some lost connections due to wireless and decided to run CAT 6 to the bedroom. The mini works great and allows access to everything on the main Tivo OTA. I had the DirecTV Genie that I thought was a good DVR, but I think Tivo is much better.

So, one thing to note is that if you are using a TiVo mini in an older house and are not willing to re-wire the house, the "MoCA" option might not be the best selection on the menu of the TiVo. I recommend getting what is called a "wifi-extender" that has a ethernet port on the bottom or side of one of them and using the "ethernet" option on the setup menu. This way you do not have to re-wire your house but you can use the TiVo Mini without having to set up the "MoCa" which is not available for certain houses. I move the TiVo mini and the extender easily from the Sun Room to Basement frequently.

If you own a TiVo Bolt, you’ll definitely need to consider buying at least one TiVo Mini. The Mini gives you access to your cable programming, recorded shows, and any apps available from you Bolt using a second (or third or fourth TV). And the best part is that there’s no additional cost beyond the purchase price of the Mini. Highly recommend!

I downsized to one TiVo Roamio and added this for the 3rd Mini in our system. The Mini's work well and make it so you have the TiVo functionally to any remote TV. They also act as my main streamer and also replaced my RoKu's.

If you have a Roamio then your all set, live the option of the Mini!!

Great companion product to my Tivo Bolt purchase. Networks using existing coax cable in my home. Follow directions on setting up MoCA network and your ready to use. Can be used to take the place of a cable box on any TV and offers multi TV DVR function, Installation was easy but had to contact Tivo customer support for help with activation. There is no additional monthly fee from Tivo with using the Mini.

Exceeded all expectations. Easy setup,easy to use.

Works great but does need a wired connection. Breeze to set up.

I got tired of renting it from my local cable company. It pays for itself in about a year. I've been wasting my money for the past 2.5 years.
