Easy to hook up, having problems getting it to program.

This is a great product. It is easy to use and has plenty of storage.

We recently cut the cord on cable TV, but still wanted the functionality of a DVR. This is so much better than the recorder we were given by AT&T. The only negative is the recurring monthly cost. Other than that, we're extremely pleased with our new DVR!

I am a recent cable cord cutter and love the Tivo for being able to DVR my favorite shows. The set up is easy to do and quick to be up and running. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to cut the cord!

This is simply the best DVR I have ever used and I've been a long time customer of both Dish Network and UVerse going back several years. It isn't even close. The unit is so intuitive, so dependable that I am actually angry for all the wasted time before. Combining what I get over the air with Netflix, Hulu, and Prime ensures that I am finally watching and paying for what I want to see rather than 200 channels of nonsense. And for a lot less money. If it only incorporated something like Chromecast's functionality as well it would be perfect, but hey, maybe in the future they will. If you are thinking about making the switch but aren't sure, I certainly understand. But for me it is simply awesome. To name some obscure program or movie in my wish list and then suddenly find it waiting for me, free, is fantastic. I will never go back. My viewing enjoyment has increased by an order of magnitude. Do yourself a favor. Get one.

I have had Tivos for over 10 years and love the independence from TV schedules and having to watch commercials. This Romio OTA has been discontinued when the new and more expensive BOLT was introduced so I was very happy to find it still available from Best Buy. Long story short, my wireless speed was not sufficient and I had to add a MOCA ethernet setup to get the Tivo to install. Works fine now but doubled the cost.

A little skeptical when I bought this, but was tired of paying high $$ to cable company. Tried Rabbit ears. Worked ok. Then put in outside antennae. Wow! I get every channel in perfect high def. way better than cable. Plus I get all the wifi streaming. The dr works great. A little lite in documentation. But you can find anything online. I have cut the cable and am very happy. I strongly recommend this.

I bought the OTA model and it's AWESOME. I wasn't excited about having to pay the monthly fee, but it is so worth it. I never miss a show, It can record 4 different programs at the same time. And the time saved by fast forwarding through commercials is priceless.

Purchased to use at home and in our camper. Records up to 4 shows at once so we never miss a show anymore. We bring it with us camping so we can catch up on shows we recorded and record shows while camping

I cut the cord with DirecTV in Dec 2014 and don't regret it. This TiVo box works just like my old box. I live in a rural area so I can't get antenna stations yet (moving soon to a larger city.) I watch Netflix and Amazon Prime. I realized that I watch very few network TV shows so it is more economical for me to buy a season pass of a show on Amazon Prime. (I never watched the shows real time anyway - new episodes are available the next day.) I like that I can pause the screen if I need to step away for a bit, just like my old box. I am a big TiVo fan and think this box is perfect. Once I move, I'll update with the OTA opinion.

Purchased this to replace my existing uverse account. I was tired of all the services fees that came with the selected package in both uverse and expecially comcast. I realized that i only watched one channel that was broadcasted over the air. I cancelled my subscription and decided to purchase this as a test run (only $50 for a dvr). So far my wife and kids enjoy it because of the apps like netflix and vudu that are included among others. I have good reception where i live so i get 40+ channels..this dvr does require a $15 a month subscription..but its better than paying $100+ for something i rarely used.

I cut the cord to cable and got this TiVo over the air recorder and record live shows when I want. So much better than cable.

This is my 2nd TiVo. I loved the first enough that I bought another. I can't say that I love the interface, but it is solid and does what it is supposed to do.

I missed having a DVR and wanted to put an end to appointment television so I thought the Tivo Roamio OTA would be my best bet seeing as I dont have cable anymore. I think the device is great because it not only offers the standard DVR recording and guide features but also smart apps that allow me to access services such as Netflix,Youtube and Hulu. The one drawback I have in my particular experience is trying to find the best spot for my antenna to provide my Tivo with the most optimum signal so that my content will actually record and also won't be choppy and stuttering during playback. This of course isn't the Tivo's fault but I wish the channel scan process and signal strength checker were a bit more detailed and accessible to assist me in this process.

More than what I was expecting. If you are cutting cable, Tivo makes the adjustment easier. I love the TV guide, recorder and the links to other providers (Amazon, Netflix, YouTube).

Set up takes a couple of hours so be prepared to sit for a bit. It was a bit of a learning curve with the new remote, but in about 3 hours I had it programed to record a week's worth of programming. I got this to get rid of cable/satellite. I'm using it with an antenna. The only issues I've had have been with the antenna, not the Tivo. One draw back, there needs to be an Exit button on the remote. I wish there was a skip forward and back 30 seconds button.

Being able to record a show again with only an HD antenna is great. TiVO customer service was very professional and set up, although lengthy, was easy.

Needed to replace my series 3 dvr. Picked this up for $50.... much larger hard drive, faster response 4 tuners... It's the same monthly cost and it presents a new paradigm for viewing by seamlessly integrating on demand viewing, Netflix, amazon, hulu etc...choose your program and let the box find it for you. Very cool!

cheaper than dish or cable. easy to use. good price.
