My son is enjoying his video game. He likes to get gift cards for BESTBUY and pick out his video games and shop the sales. The video game itself he just loves! Great present for any video game lover!

I bought the game for the story-line, have read all of the books. This is the first Splinter cell game I owned. I recommend buying this game in preparation for SC Blacklist 8/20/2013

I had this version of Splinter Cell for the X-Box and I got this for Christmas. I enjoy battling against the secret agents and going through the obstacles.

I often worry about buying pre-owned games, but I've never had a problem at Best Buy. I can't testify to the appropriateness of this game for kids.

Great entry in Splinter Cell Series

To start out, I had not played a Splinter Cell game for a few years until Splinter Cell: Conviction. With that said, I cannot really compare Conviction to any of the other Splinter Cell. Here is my review. Conviction has some great aspects and some I could have lived with out. Here are some of the good things that the game has to offer. It requires the player to use skills found in a shooter with steath found in a spy game. This combo gives the game great dimension. Conviction is also a linear game, but it lets the player proceed how he or she chooses. There are countless ways to go about the game and complete it. There is also a good variety of weapons and gadgets, all of which are helpful if you know how to use them. The level designs are all different, which gives the player something new throughout the game. The multi player is pretty awesome if you have somebody that you can commuicate with. It is pretty much like the single player, but you can try out more strategies to take out all of the enemies. The graphics are on par with todays standards, so they are nothing amazing. The gameplay is fluid. I only had a few hiccups here and there with the controls. The game did have a few not so good parts to it. The enemies seemed to have an uncanny ability to snipe you from across the map on the hardest level, which is not very realistic. The game also has something called mark and exicute. It lets you mark people and tap a button to kill all of the fairly quickly. This was handy, bu it mad the game a little bit to easy, in my opinion. The length of the game was also good. It did not seem to drag on, and it wasn't too short either. The story was okay, but I think that the developers could have mad it a bit more interesting because it was kind of predictable at times. Over all, the game is awesome. These are all my opinions, so others may disagree. I hope this review helps.

    The best SC game yet!

I honestly didn't think that I would enjoy SC: Conviction quite this much. The major change is that everything you do is quick. It makes everything feel much more fast-paced. The new Mark & Execute feature is a great addition as well. When you kill an enemy up close, you earn this feature. Depending on your gun, you can mark a certain number of enemies (two to three, even four) and press the Y button when they're in range to execute them at once. This helps make things not feel so overwhelming. As for being stealthy, they replaced the light bar with a concept where if you're in the shadows, everything is black and white, and colored if you're in light. The story is all about Sam's revenge for the murder of his daughter. I completed the story fairly quick, but enjoyed it all the way through. There are some great cinematic moments, and the interrogation scenes are some of the most intense parts of the game. It also ends with a surprise twist, especially for Splinter Cell fans. While the story may be short, there is also Deniable Ops & co-op or competitive multiplayer (Xbox LIVE or split-screen), which is almost more fun than the single-player story. Co-op features a completely different story about an American & Russian spy both working together. This is more built for gameplay, however, which is a good thing. There is plenty of reasons to get SC: Conviction. I highly recommend it!

    Non-Stop Excitement

The game really is magnificent. It is so much fun from the beginning to the end, and is full of plot twists, character development that is meaningful but not over-stated, and there are constant "moments" that make you want to keep coming back to experience the game over and over again. The single player mode is great, and many reviews online and in magazines claimed the game was only 5 hours long, but this is a blatant lie. I have now played the game over 30 hours (including co-op and trying to unlock other cool gear) and the single player lasted me well over 10 hours on Normal mode and if you ramped it up to realistic (which I highly recommend) it will take you 15 hours easy. But for me, the real replayability from this game comes from the co-op (which includes split screen, thank goodness) and also the Hunter mode (which makes you take out 10 guys without being revealed and if they do call backup, then 10 guys, count them, 10 guys come to help them) plus another mode that makes you fight wave after wave of bad guys (sort of like Horde mode but much more challenging) and then of course trying to get all of the PEC challenges filled so you can get points that allow you to upgrade your weapons, gear and gadgets like the sticky camera (which is so cool and so fun to use) and this entire process is full of fun and hours of entertainment. Still, the overall experience really makes you feel like a secret agent trying to save the world and at the same time the story has a very personal emotion to it that makes you empathize with Sam Fisher as an operative and as an individual. The game is truly spectacular and honestly has the best head shots I've ever seen in a video game. I can honestly say this is $60 well spent and you will not be disappointed in any way.

    splinter cell... who knew?

for someone who never played a splinter cell game before i was nervous for the to spend the money on this but when the commercial came out and i knew that someone had killed sam's daughter i knew that i had to help him get revenge. the game is amazing when it comes to the graphics and such the new interrogation mode is a lot of fun to do and there is many parts of the game that raise your neck hairs. my only problem is i played on normal to start and some points got very very hard and i do not like to switch down to rookie. maybe that is because i have never played a splinter cell before but once you get use to it it can become more easy but some parts do get very very difficult. overall though i was so happy with my purchase it took me about 2 days to finish the game but when i play a game i go crazy on it and cut off the outside world so bottom line great game.

    Different but still very fun

I recently completed the singleplayer campaign to Conviction. This is the most unique splinter cell of them all. It's unique mainly in that this one takes all the protocol that restricted Fisher in past games and throws it out the window. You see, after the death of his friend Lambert and his daughter he pretty much hits rock bottom. As the game starts out you find out that 3rd Echelon, the company that Fisher worked for in past games, is now hunting Fisher and trying to kill him. Now that Fisher no longer plays by 3rd Echelon rules he can now use his abilities the way he(or you) wants to. That also means that he doesn't have the full inventory of past games, but you still get to use a handful that aid you throughout the game. This is what makes this splinter cell one of the most thrilling of them for me to play. Being able to sneak around the shadows and take down any enemy any way I want makes me feel more like a hunter than an agent. The gameplay mechanics work extremely well and very rarely had any problems with them. The game brings everything together and it is very fun to play. The story is my favorite of the games as well. The story delves more into the deaths of both his friend Lambert and his daughter. Everything is tied up and it is satisfying. The visuals are great as well. Im not going to say that this is the best looking game around but it definitely is the best looking splinter cell game. Nothing to complain bout there. I guess the only complaints I have about the game will only depend on the player. The game is pretty dang short. I completed the game in 2 days. I think my time was from 8 to 9 hours. It was entertaining throughout the game, but I wanted there to be more. The other thing I didn't like was how often the f word was used throughout the game. It's not like i hear the f word and Im immediately offended, but when it's extremely overused in unnecessary situations it starts to get old really fast. Throughout the game the enemies would scream it what seemed like every other word. Again, these will just be viewed differently by different people. I guess that's all I have for the game. I would recommend this game to stealth/action fans and fans of the splinter cell games. It might be different, but definitely worth playing.

Best Splinter Cell Game Made to Date!

This was the first Splinter Cell game I played and this is a PERFECT game if this you're first Splinter Cell Game. You get to know the characters if you have not played a Splinter Cell game. Single Player: This single player campaign has a strong storyline and length. The only problem was this was to difficult even on Rookie mode. Overall, a very good storyline. A perfect five stars, out of five. Multi player: There is a Co-Op Multi player Campaign that is very solid and a good reason to keep the game after you beat the single player campaign. There is also a basic death match mode, not really worth it if you have played a previous Splinter Cell game. Four stealthy melee attacks, out of five. Splinter Cell Conviction is quite possibly the best Splinter Cell game made to date. A perfect five stars out of five.

    Excellent stealth player game

I am a big fan of solo stealth games. Conviction didn't let me down. The single player story was great. The best part of the game is the AI. Any time you get killed and have to restart a chapter the enemy is in a different configuration and uses different movement patterns. That made for alot of variety and replay-ability. Another mode is Deniable Ops. You solo through a series of 4 areas where there are 10 guys in each area. There is no story line other than getting into the location and taking out hte bad guys. This is a great alternative to the story mode and you can spend hours strategizing and replaying this using different tactical approaches.

This is an amazing extension to the series. Everything about it is improved. Amazing graphics, gameplay, Deniable Ops, weapons, and the black/white mode when you're in complete darkness to the enemy. This game doesn't get boring, it's always fun to sneak up behind people and kill them. It's a game you can play over and over again. If it were longer or they made downloadable extensions, it would be awesome. Highly recommended

This game came with my Xbox 360 and the moment I started playing it I couldn't stop. It's a 3rd person game, the best thing about it is that its a 2 player game and co-op. The graphics and accuracy of the sniper gun is awesome. It's worth getting...
