The sound is spectacular
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is the 5-channel audio mix that played in the theaters when the film was first released. This is the sound mix done by Pete Townshend himself on his 8-track Studer tape deck in his personal studio in his home in Twickenham. It is far different (and far superior) to the soundtrack album. Pinball Wizard, I'm Free, and the finale (See Me, Feel Me) are incredible. There are audio effects on Amazing Journey totally missing from the album. It's fun to watch the movie again, but I'm truly enjoying listening to it through my surround system, even without the picture. If you're a Who fan, you will love being immersed in Townshend's mix. It is remarkable. Make sure you get the blu-ray version with this 5.1 soundtrack.

I love it!

But if you've got an open mind, and especially if you're a Who fan on top of that, you just might like it. I loved it personally, but I can seehow it might be an acquired taste, haha! :)
