Easier to use than my prior Tom Toms.with more features. Can use in a walking mode as well as a driving mode which is great when hiking or in a new town where there might be a pedestrian zone or a park that you can go through when walking, but not when driving.

I actually use it for personal as much as business at it is convenient to find places that are new in the area. Very easy to use, great price as well.

They have added a lot more graphics into the new one. On initial use of my new TOMTOM some of the changed ICONS confused me. After using it on one trip I became used to the new ICONS and the new dropdowns used. The larger 5" screen is a definite plus. I enjoy using this newer model. The lifetime maps is really great also.

Please note that, compared to the GO 500 and 600; the GO 50 comes with a resistive screen that requires more pressure when entering data than for instance a smartphone. It will tell you traffic jams and accidents, speeding cameras and such, but you will be using the data plan on your smart phone, which can be expensive if you don't remember to shut the data stream off after your trip.

I thought something was wrong because the battery wouldn't charge and the screen stayed black, but I didn't have it plugged in correctly. Excellent GPS mapping. This is our second [my sister has my first one]. There was no question about what brand to choose when it was time to replace it.
