Lack Of Battery On Long Runs

I really wanted like this watch. Even though it was a bit tough to figure it out, I did. It's a little old school as it's not touch screen watch which I didn't mind. It took me about two days to figure all the things, such as, synching date to the nike app, download music, pair the headphones etc., without touching the screen (seriously, going from touch screen iphones, ipads, back to clicking will drive you crazy, though was willing to do so if it was going to be good in the water or tracking the run with music during the marathon). I loved the idea i can go for a run and leave the iphone at home while listening to music and tracking the runs on Nike app after the run, and also that I could use it for swimming which is almost impossible to find - a watch thats waterproof and has music (most music playing watch are water repellent not water proof). However, the deal breaker happened after my 5 mile run. The battery was half way down after charging the watch all night - it was fully charged before the run. I read all the reviews and information about the watch before purchasing it. It said it should last up to 5 hours with the bluetooth headphones listening the music. I run long runs and the watch dying after 10 miles wont work for the marathon distance...., if someone runs up to 10 miles its the good watch. You don't have to worry about the watch getting damaged in the rain and can track swimming too. Just didn't work for me on long runs. .. wish it did, despite the old school system setting everything up.

Hi there. I'm sorry about your frustrating experience with your Spark Music. The watch should have up to 10 hours of battery life with the GPS on and 5 hours with music and GPS on. This can be affected by a number of reasons such as the connection with external sensors. You can find more information about the battery life here http://bit.ly/1ceBRQz. If you, however, feel that the battery of your watch is not functioning accordingly please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Care Department. They can be reached via direct line 866 486 6866 or the following page: http://bit.ly/Jn4Fjv. TomTomInc.
