While smarts phones are great in a pinch; when you travel to areas that don't have reliable cell service, the TomTom kept me on track. This one offers a split screen to show you traffic lane directions on exits and turns. It took a couple hours to set up initially because you have to download the maps, but updates are quick.

I love the bigger screen size, which makes it much easier to see while driving. The only issue I had was twice the gps told us to take the exit after we already passed the exit. Both times it was for a welcome center. Other than that I am very satisfied.

I got this for a gift for my dad

But after using it for my self and the lifetime maps. It will pay for it self in the long run. Great for anyone that did not opt for the 1k plus nav in your car.

Great GPS

The pictures make your route extremely clear and the color choices available make the screens easy to see no matter whether it's day or night.

This one grabs a signal almost immediately. Money well spent

The only setting I can't figure out for this one is the current traffic line like there was on my old Tom Tom. Once I have that, I will like this one just the same.

No real time construction or traffic on this model. It has also taken me 30 miles out of the way when I went to a state park with multiple sites. Only upside is lifetime updates are free.

Does the job most of the time

Its not by any means amazing but it gets the job done, The touch screen is a little weird and isnt set right and theres no way to calibrate it. When typing in an address it makes you go threw a million steps instead of just being able to just type the address out like google maps.

I am not one to buy ANYTHING on a spur of the moment without doing research. My thoughtful wife bought me a Garmin for my Birthday, but I had already read the reviews. While the Garmin had more features (that I didn't need), the TomTom had higher reviews for half the price. I exchanged it (not pleasing my wife) for rhe TomTom VIA1515M and am quite pleased with it. It does everything my old one did and more. I'd buy it again
