If you start driving along a different route to what it had suggested it immediately suggests the shortest route along your chosen path.

Very easy to set up, programmed his trip and away he went. No problems; only suggestion would be a pause button, so when you go off course, you could pause the trip - always wants to reroute you, have you u-turn. Would like to pause and get gas, then pick back up.

Good basic GPS to free up your phone while traveling. Had my last TomTom for 8 yrs, was very satisfied with the performance.

We updated the device 2 months after we bought it when we got an email from TomTom. It was a long update, almost 45 minutes. Must have been very current information because we took a trip to Canada last week and all information was correct even in Vancouver. Very happy with our purchase.

way better then Garmin

I had 3 Tom tom so far, 2 Garmins and 2 cellphones and i burned all using them for navigation. From far the best GPS is a smartphone with google. Second will be the Tom Tom Anything else you can't put them in the same categry with this 2. P.S. If you use gps twice a day, it doesn't mater what you buy
