Posted .Hi Ben47, you can pre-plan routes on your Via 1515M using the Prepare Route option in the main menu. It will ask you to specify a Starting Location and then a Destination, it will then plan a route that you can save for later. You can also presearch for multiple locations and save them as Favourites or POIs for use when you need them later. Patrick @ TomTom

Same issues as previous model

Posted .Hi there, thanks for picking us again! However, sorry to hear the GPS isn't up to scratch. "Sometimes if your device has been in storage for a long time it may find it difficult to locate the satellites but, after a quick update normally that should be straightened out. These updates are really important and help your device know where the six satellites most recent location was (thus, a quicker more reliable connection).
I'd just like to confirm, have you tried updating at all to see if this has improved anything?

AWESOME GPS

The timing was way to short for me to get into the correct lain or to make a turn. The timing on the Tom Tom is perfect for me. This is the third Tom Tom I've owned and it works great!

Very Disappointing GPS

It keeps losing the signal no matter where I am. I have taken it to various states and I have the same problem. I have gotten lost countless times. It takes forever to pick up the signal again or to even determine where I am at. Most of the time it tells me I am off the road. The ancient TomTom Go I have works much better than this newer version.

Sorry to hear that you are having some issues with your VIA 1515M. It sounds like the device needs updating - when it hasn't been updated, you're likely to encounter issues with the device not finding GPS signal.
To update your device, you will need to use the MyDrive Connect software on your computer. It's available from www.tomtom.com/getstarted
Once you have installed this, simply make sure that the 'QuickGPSfix' update is ticked. It may also be necessary to perform a Factory Reset on your device: this can be done by going to Main Menu, Settings & Reset Factory Settings.
You'll then be up and running again!

Works well, hard to program

Posted .Hey there Bhobby13, we're sorry to hear about the problem. If the device has been connected to a charger during use, it should continue functioning throughout the drive.
If the device no longer turns on, please see if this helps: Connect device to a charger (via computer), and press down the power button for 40 seconds or until you can hear a drum roll sound.
