    Does it's job

    The hubs needed a new GPS for his work truck. This does the job without a bunch of bells and whistles he won't use and it was under $100. Score!

    Had to buy a new gps after my garmin kept randomly shutting off. This gps gets the job done. Fairly basic but does what it is supposed to do.

    no LTM, SCAM

    I bought a TT with LIFETIME Maps and traffic several years ago. I'm still alive but TT maps haven't happened for over three years. I haven't found a way to contact TT about that. TT is a PASS.

    This GPS does exactly what it needs to do. Keeps up while driving so I never miss a turn. Great price and functionality.

    Pay for update map

    I just bought this unit today, and set up my account on the tom-tom web site. It had an update to install map, but tom-tom web site required me to pay for updating 1 year. It will return it to best buy.

    I bought this as a replacement for a really bad Magellan unit, This one is perhaps worse. First off it has no maps installed when I tried to get maps installed, the download time was estimated at over 12 hours on a cable modem, the download timed over and over called tech numerous times no useful help was given. All in all it is a really bad quality unit . I am half afraid to try any other unit after the last 2 purchases I had a Navteq GPS that got wet and stopped working it was far superior t either Tomtom or Magellen Wish I could find another one I am taking this buzzkill back to bestbuy

    Not easy to connect to computer

    This is my second Tom Tom. Bought this one for my son. Was not easy to hook up to the computer and couldn't update it. It works but couldn't get all the features it said came with it. But works great

    This GPS system is awful! The windshield of our car is sloped, so it forces us to lay it on a seat or hold it. It either continuously loses the signal or can't find a GPS signal. About 90% of the time it says "You have reached your destination" and it is nowhere near the destination. In fact, the majority of the time you end up in a different town. It has only been correct a handful of times. After 9 months, it went in the trash. Don't waste your time and money on it!

      Sorry to hear you weren’t able to mount on the windscreen, I will certainly be making sure that’s passed on as feedback. Not being able to mount must have seriously affected your usability of the product, which we definitely do not want. In some case customers choose to use these handy discs to mount on your dashboard: http://tomtom.com/en_us/drive/accessories/mounts-docks/dashboard-mount-disks/.
      However, having dashboard discs isn’t going to help at all if you were losing GPS signal. This certainly isn’t what we expect so what we do have is some trouble shooting available to improve GPS signal: https://us.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/16109
      If you do ever decide to pick our product up again, and the above steps don’t help and you continue to find the destinations are not quite what they should be, please do not hesitate to give us a ring on:

    Junk it is not worth the room it takes up

    This GPS is great if you like one that always loses its signal and is constantly searching for it. Can not tell how well it works because it does not work. This GPS is a worthless PIECE OF SH--. DO NOT WASTE YOUR money. TomTom is a complete waste!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Horrible signal, updates don't work

    Takes five to ten minutes after turning it on for it to find the signal and current location, regardless of whether you are in a rural or urban area, sitting still or moving. Intermittently loses signal. Connected to the update but it didn't work

      Hi James, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. However it sounds like you’re really not having a great time. I’m sorry to hear and I’m also very sorry it’s taken us a while to personally get back to you. It sounds like your device is having a hard time keeping GPS Signal. Normally regularly updating, like you have been doing should resolve these problems, but it seems in this case we might need to try some further troubleshooting. I’ve a got a few steps, which I think should be able to help you out. Firstly, try this link to do a full reset: https://us.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/16109 .Secondly, reconnect to MyDrive Connect and look for the GPS Fix update and download again. Thirdly, soft reset (hold down the on/off until you hear drums, and release). Fourthly, leave on a window sill for around 40 minutes and it should pick up GPS signal. In the case that you have absolutely no luck please do not hesitate to get hold of us again and we would be more than happy to help. TomTomInc.
