Connection issues 3 months after purchase

Worked great for a couple months and now have issues with wifi connection. Not recognizing network in set up screen, did factory reset and now the TV will not pair with remote. Purchased new remote and spent hours trying every suggestion found online. TV is basically bricked and would not recommend.

Excellent Rating means absolutely nothing

The tv is useless, and support is even worse. All system setup for Fire Tvs are managed thru Amazon and the only support received is an FAQ guide that leads to nowhere and Toshiba brand just pushes issue back to Amazon. The tv initially starts like any other new tv asking for country and language, then transitions to URL code or start setup with remote. That’s as far as it got. Tried URL. Tried remote. Tried resetting to factory mode. Nothing. It never gets to any helpful menu. I thought open box were final sale, so I didn’t even consider returning. Even worse, tried registering tv through Toshiba and the model number doesn’t even appear on the drop down selection, so that was the final straw. Useless box

WIFI connectivity issues

It constantly disconnects from the WIFI and we have to "forget" and reconnect in order for it to work. It's not an internet issue since non of our other devices have this problem.

TERRIBLE SMART FIRE TV

AFTER ONLY MINUTES OF BEING IDLE. BETTER NOT PAUSE IT FOR ANY REASON. IT GOES TO SCREEN SAVER IMMEDIATELY AND WILL NOT RETURN TO THE ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING. WHERE YOU PAUSED. HARD TO TURN OFF. It was delivered day late. Then inset it up turn itnon and the screen is shattered with pink and yellow lines. Next time will buy and pick up in store. BB is Call Tagged my delivered damaged tv with a refund upon retun. No incentive for my inconvenience of getting a shattered tv delievred. Clown show indeed.

43" Toshiba not working after 1 year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Avoid buying Toshiba, very poor customer service. I bought this tv at Best Buy in February 2024, started having problems with it in the fall of 2024. It would freeze up after turning on, couldn't even shut it off with remote, had to unplug from wall. I contacted customer service in January 2025 (they have a record of my call) they recommended a factory reset and software update, which I did. That helped for a week or so and then had the same problem again, freezing when trying to launch Youtubetv. Toshiba customer service said because I complained about this before my warranty expired, they would cover it. I sent them a copy of my original sales receipt, they said a repair technician would contact me about repairs. That was on March 26, 2025. No contact since, I have a 43" tv that is a year old and cannot be used. I suggest you shop for a brand that actually stands behind their product.
