This hard drive is small, quiet, and has plenty of space for backing up my computer and especially all of my photos. Plug it in and forget about backups.

This is not the first Toshiba Canvio Connect 2.5 Drive that I have bought. They are all going strong. I was amazed when I first saw them as now I was buying a 2.5 TB for the same price I was paying for a 2.0 TB. The Toshiba External Hard Drives are great. I own 8 of them and have never had a problem. The flexibility it gives with storing is great. The security of knowing my data is always safe and backed-up is also great. By the way, I also own Toshiba Laptops. The Best Buy price, was the best.

The Toshiba Canvio Connect II 2.5 TB provides the storage I need for all my digital photos and my large iTunes music files. The drive is fast and I have had no problems so far.

Lots of space, decent build, compact, don't need wall power.

When stated 2.5. Terabytes, 2.5 terabytes is what you receive... not 2.5 minus proprietary software. Kudos there. Works perfect running linux mint on 10 yr old Dell laptop. So backwards compatible to USB 2 was well welcomed. Great price point for xtrnl hd.

We've been using this external hard drive for time machine in our office for more than 2 years now and never had a problem. Despite that it was not mac ready fresh form the box, the formatting was easy with Mac's own disc utility. After that, everything works great.

I actually like the software it came with. Lots of room & good performance. This is my 2nd Toshiba cavio. First one is 65% full and works great. The price point made this a great buy at BB.

2.5TB with this price is awesome! It also comes with a Mac NRFS driver, which is a bonus of 25$(not sure the exact price). The design and material are pretty good!

Lots and LOTS of space for such a small form factor. I have it hooked up to my router which allows me to use it as a network storage. The fact that this drive does not require a power connector makes it really easy and convenient to use. It's very fast as well. I replaced my 1TB with this 2.5TB and copying files transferred at over 80MB/sec with no problems. No guarantee on the speed, as some computers may have USB 2.0 ports. I was using the USB 3.0 ports on my laptop to transfer. Another nice thing about this drive is it responds to sleep commands when not in use. The blue activity/on light goes off when it goes to sleep so I know it works. My old drive used to run and run, and as a result, it ran hot most of the time. This drive only spins up when in use so I can leave it plugged in all day long.

Use the drive for storage, plenty of space at a decent price got it on BF under $70. Excellent
