use it to store photos. so far no problems. cannot tell if there are any differences performance wise with the more expensive western digital hard drives we also have on hand.

This is a small compact drive to take care of backing up our laptop. I like it because it is easy to use.

Its fast and easy to use great for backing up photos and my computer. The price wasn't to bad I shopped around before chosing this one.

Have not had to use its backup download feature (and hopefully never will), only done backups so far. Basic directions are noty at all comprehensive for a novice like me.

good hard drive for portable computer use but we bought it for Xbox use and only 40 gb can be used with an Xbox. So we wasted our money for the purpose of our purchase.

It was easy to set up and to use. It is slim and lightweight which makes it great to travel with.

The Toshiba Canvio Slim II external hard drive was recommended by the Geek Squad technician. It is very compact/slim/ unobtrusive, and easily portable while being a high capacity (500GB) drive. Preloaded with backup software that is makes it easy to customize backup options.

Using the NT Backup software is not the most efficient. Hardware operates as specified at a good price point. Use the hardware with other backup software solutions.

It was the only drive at the store that was listed as being compatible with windows xp. It was able to store the information I needed without any problems.

The Geek Squad came to my rescue and fixed my two computers, saved all my information when hackers locked me out and demanded money to let me back in to them!
