A: Yes, it will work with USB2. Almost all usb3 drives are compatible with USB2.

Q: Does the software make an image of the PC hard disk?
A: You can do a complete system backup using the NTI Backup Now EZ software that is included with the Canvio Slim II to back up the entire PC. Once you have done the complete system backup, you can create a bootable disk (either using the Canvio drive or USB flash drive) to restore all your data to your PC internal drive.
