I was sceptic of its speed because of its size but I am pleasantly surprised to find out that it's pretty fast. It's lightweight design won me over. The 500 GB is enough for me but if you need more you could buy higher capacity version. Very solid buy for such cheap price.

Great little hard drive. I use for large file transfers from my mac to PCs. I have a previous model Toshiba for the same thing, but this one is much faster, has twice as much memory, a little slimmer, and the cord seems improved from last too (not as flimsy). Great drive for a great price.

It's compact in size, was easy to use right out of the box. Instructions were easy to follow and is flexible in the backup options. I bought it because I thought it was competitive with the other drives at a better price.

lots of storage for videos and files light and compact it handles all my stuff and keeps my computer less full and allows it to run faster also it is easier to take the hard drive than the computer to places.

It's simple - get a free Dropbox account, upload your photos via wifi every so often, when your free Dropbox account is full, connect this awesome, portable external hard drive to your computer and download all the photos from your Dropbox to it. Then wipe your Dropbox and start again. This external is great - it's lightweight but sturdy, sleek and sexy design, and super portable. Go for it!

i got this on sale at BB as an external hard drive for my Xbox one. it more than double my storage space, as theres an allocated 125gb from Xbox's internal hard drive for operational space so this extra 500gb really frees up space an allows me to own more games as every game take up about 25gb-50gb of hard drive space!!! also half the price as compared to other comparable 500 gb external hard drives.

I am so happy that I bought this. I needed it for work as a backup for all of my files and it was just so nice to be able to just plug it in and go. My sister's external USB hard drive requires software to be installed in order to use it. I just wish that the store didn't sell out of the 1TB version because that would have just been awesome!

External Hard drive was easy to set up, portable and lightweight, and simple to access data and files. Storage capacity allowed for all data from a failing laptop- including massive amount of pictures- to be saved from certain peril!

What a fantastic External HD! This little guy goes with me everywhere so I can be sure to get every song off of my friends play list any where I might go. Holds anything you want really aside from the Movie Hoarders. It should supplement most users photos and more. This is the new 'Flash Drive'.
