Its a single hard drive the power supply is the device you connect it to like laptop or deskrop.

Please try again later.It is listed as a hard drive when you bring up your pc - it list the devices and drives., it has its own letter, just like a flash drive but it is listed as a hard drive. It plugs directly into a usb port and uses the computer for its power. I am not sure what you mean as flash memory. I works just like your computer you can save your work to it erase it and create new files. I love it. Hope this helps.
