Posted .Thank you for the review, Johngalt, and sorry to hear that you experienced a problem with an internal hard drive (if I understand your review correctly) while using your Canvio Slim II.
This shouldn't be possible unless there's a defect in the electronics of the USB port to which the drive was connected. That said, I can understand any reluctance to use the drive with another system so invite you to initiate the Canvio drive's warranty replacement process at acclaim.toshiba.com, which can be done anytime during its 3-year warranty period.
