We tried but a younger person has more knowledge about these things. Once we understood the general concept of operating the system, we have had no problems. I believe anyone would like this system. We are enjoying it!!

Great unit~~in fact, I bought 2 in a couple days

Both were replacements for older machines (not Toshiba) that had just worn out. I am totally satisfied with the performance of both theses units.

Good for VHS and DVDs

I can now watch these movie, but I can also record some old family movies on to DVD before they degrade too much or are damaged.

vcr did not work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The DVD worked great. The VCR could not produce a picture. Tried different video cable (yellow one), no improvement. Tracking adjustment would not help. tapes all played on my other vcr I have.
