    Beware of 4k laptops

I would advise against getting a laptop with 4k resolution, you will experience issues. Some programs won't adjust to the 4k screen, resulting in the programs being tiny. You'll have menus and and buttons being really tiny. You'll experience this with Windows Media Player, VLC media player, and others. Even if you change the resolution of the screen, things will be disproportionate. The touchpad isn't very good either.

Thank you for the review, AnneChovie, and sorry to hear that some of your programs don't seem to be scaling well to the 4K display of your Satellite S55T-C5250-4K.

This isn't a problem with your Toshiba laptop so much as a characteristic of Windows' handling of 4K displays and the need for application developers to use current display libraries that properly support 4K displays. Please see the helpful article at http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/windows-10-review-high-resolution-support/ for instructions on how to adjust scaling in general and how to control specific elements.

I wonder what type of problem you're experiencing with the touchpad. Without knowing any details, I recommend checking the Windows touchpad configuration by entering "mouse" into the Windows search field and selecting "Mouse and touchpad settings" from the search results. Review all of the available mouse and touchpad settings options to make sure features that you want are enabled and configured to match your preferences, and that features that you don't want are disabled.

Should you need further assistance, please contact Toshiba support at 800-457-7777.

Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the difficulty. Toshiba
