Bought this to replace a Samsung phone. Nice phone with good features. Good performance and volume. Sharp, large screen and good battery performance. Nice camera with good software.

The short story: lots of updates initially but the payoff is great. Motorola has common sense that apparently Samsung does not and actually includes the USB-C cable AND wall adapter with the phone. The screen is big and everything looks good - played a song and the sound is decent - remember, this isn’t a boombox so music on this isn’t going to start any party. The teardrop on the screen is acceptable and less distracting than looking at a hole on the screen like so many other models. The phone charged fairly quickly - I’ve already got the feeling that this battery is a beast and will hold a charge for a very long time. Super fast processor - no lagging or quirks. This is my first foray away from the Moto E line. I bought this to replace my Moto E 2020 that recently started having issues with the network connection dropping frequently. I’ve been a Moto E girl since the 1st generation came out in 2014. I chose this because it has the Snapdragon Processor - I’ve tried other phones that use MediaTek processors and I just don’t have the patience for them. Snapdragon all the way…. My first impression is there are a lot of updates initially - which is not a problem - updates are good and keep us protected. So I advise charging the phone, setting it up on your Google account and then going into Google Play and getting all of that updating done first. Then you can go to System Update in the settings menu to begin the painstaking (but worthwhile) process below. The first update will be Android 11 - don’t worry, it doesn’t take up as much room as you think it will. Then there are a bunch of security updates - they go back to when the phone was first manufactured in 2021 and go up to October 2022. You don’t have a choice but to just let each one download and restart your system each time. I recommend snacks and a good movie that you don’t mind pausing every now and then as you work your way through the initial updates. After the updates...it is oh so smooth sailing.....

This phone is close in comparison to a lot of higher end phones back in 2020, It has surprisingly kept up to this day and hasn't slowed down. Beautiful display, good camera, and optimal performance!

The Moto g Play phone is easy to setup and use. I like the larger screen size which makes it easier to read and the display is crystal clear; the processing speed is excellent; and the camera captures high-quality photos and videos.

Manely, The WIFI keeps cutting out. My last Motorola never dropped call or had trouble keeping WIFI on. My TV does not drop WIFI, My computer sometimes has a hard time picking it up. I do need to call Geek Squad for help. The battery last for seems forever...a best quality is the battery.

The pictures come out very clear. I am not to Tech Knowledgeable took me a little time to get use to my new phone but I really like it. Nice size and screen. Just wish I could change the voice on the Hello Moto greeting. LOL

Decent phone with excellent battery life if you're looking for something basic with a large screen and battery. Wi-Fi Calling capable and able to be set up on Verizon towers, as well as AT&T and T-Mobile.

Bought this as emergency phone while waiting for ordered phone (back order) to arrive. Trac phone worked great, from volume to cell service- we had no issues at all.

I like my new purchase so far. Am learning how to use it. For me it's better than having a very expensive bill each month. I wish that BB sold decent cases to purchase for it. I went on line to order one. As long as I can buy decent at BB I will continue to do so.

The phone works pretty good for the price point. The only thing I don't like about it is that it has no back button so you gotta swipe right to left and then swiping does other things too so sometimes it...messes with your pages.

Great phone for the money, easy to use and lots of room for downloads

I bought this for one of my roommates whose phone suddenly died on her. Although it took a while to have it set up (you need to have a separate device to really get it set up), it was well worth it in the end. Definitely can recommend!

This phone is inexpensive and does it all. It’s easy to activate and any problems you may have with the set-up the tech savy staff at Best Buy are eager to provide all the assistance you need. Highly recommended.

Needed a new phone when husband's old LG quit working. This one fits the bill and was a good price. Thanks to Best Buy for setting the phone up for him.

i think this phone will come in handy in various ways. i'm not really used to this type of technology, but i'm going to give it a very good effort. this new phone has so many features that will be of great benefit over the simple flip phone i had become so used to for many years. thank you all for being so helpfull in this new adventure of this old man.
