Love this grill but the hinges bend cause the grill not to close properly to keep in the smoke and heat

I was excited about getting this grill, but the guys who assembled my grill damaged it. I don't think they knew what they were doing as they didn't read the instructions and left some of the lock washers off. Best Buy tried to replace it but the replacement grill they sent was damaged as well. I wasted two weeks getting this resolved. Not happy that I settled for a damaged grill. Cooking out for my son's 15th birthday was more important than waiting another week or so for another replacement.

Picked smoker up yesterday and today assembled it. All parts were there, however a couple issues thus far. One, a screw does not fit all the way in on the connecting plate. Second, the grease tray was smothered with oil even in the plastic. Not okay. Luckily the assembly was completed by then. You do need two people but easy to put together.
Im scoring in middle as I have not used it yet.

Works great and super easy right out of thr box. First time ever smoking a brisket and it came out amazingly juicy and flavorful. Pork butt, salmon, ribs, veggies have all been very successful as well. One word of caution, make sure you clean out the ash after some longer 24 hr cooks since too much ash in the firebox can make the pellets difficult to ignite.

I had wanted a smoker for a long time , and true to my nature I researched grills for about 6 months looking at so many different styles and brands that my head was spinning. But I always came back to the Traeger. I read a re- read the reviews and finally bought the Traeger .
I could not be happier . I smoked a Turkey for Thanksgiving and will never make a turkey any other way .
The smoke flavor was perfect , not overwhelming and the bird juicy and tender. I made a second turkey like I normally do in the oven (just in case) The family hands down preferred the smoked bird. For Christmas I'm smoking a duck and a brisket . I'm excited .
This grill is a winner and you won't be sorry.

If you buy a Traeger grill & have problems down the road - and you will - that you have to go thru Traeger to fix it. They're not local. They make you jump thru hoops to get a replacement part which may or may not work. I'd suggest buying your next grill from someone who will back their product locally.
