  • Revived old core 2 laptop to good speeds

    i have an old gateway laptop a friend ga e me because it was too slow. It is a dual core pentium with only 2 gig of ram and a 5400 rpm hdd. It was frustratingly slow but this was my sacrificial laptop for my kids to play flash games on. One day the hdd died. Saw this one on sale for >50 dollars and jumped on it. With a fresh windows 7 install and all the updates it condumes ~22gig. 40 gig free. Since no movies or big games ( only internet) that should last the life of the computer. Boots fast, launches internet explorer and chrome fast and plays games smoother. Also plays netflix better as well. I guess the virtual memory buffer is faster now as well. Overall iim very happy with the drive.
