    Nice Looking Hard Drive

I purchased one of these hard drives for personal use. I have the M3 series for my wife's laptop as well. The Transcend drives are a few dollars more expensive than a brand like WD, or Seagate, but the internal suspension system that the Transcend drives come with is well worth the few dollars. What am I talking about? If you open up a WD/Seagate vs a Transcend hard drive, only the Transcend drives have shock absorbing silicone on the inside of the drive. So if you drop your drive from the desk to the floor, it will most likely be ok. Not so with the Toshiba, WD, etc. I have had it happen and it is never fun to lose data. If you are paranoid about your data, get the Transcend drive because in the long run a $5.00 difference is the difference between a functioning hard drive or a paperweight.
