Am a fan of the series. Have enjoyed the first two seasons.

Nothing, to date, compares to season one, this is far better than season two. But, even with a stellar cast, it is a slow moving, rather boring third season. Wait for season four.

This third season has something more than the previous season. It is a cold case of a long time ago that got cold again ten years later, and that’s still cold some longer time later when the two policemen who processed the case twice are retired and living in old age, the case comes back again because the son of one of the two detectives, the black detective Wayne Hays, wants to bring some peace to his past-haunted father and he makes him become one essential participant in a TV documentary on the case.

Season 3 of True Detective was a major improvement over Season 2. However, Season 1 is still the best iteration of True Detective. There were some slow, dragged out scenes and plot points that did not add much to the story, but overall this was decent season of True Detective. I look forward to seeing more seasons. Marshalla Ali did a great job in the role. Blu Ray quality is good, but not excellent.

People rave about the first season, but I believe this is, by far, the most intricate, interesting, and well-made season of this show.

Having watched season 1 of True Detective and hearing great reviews of season 3, I purchased this as a gift for my husband. We were mesmerized and watched 2-3 episodes a night.

The picture and sound are very good but not much for special features. I would rank this as the 2nd best season not as good as the first season which is pretty much perfect but way better than the super slow and hard to follow second season.

There are so many twists and turns in this series it really keeps you on your toes. We had to watch it more than once to catch everything. This is so worth owning.

Get all 3 seasons if you have the chance, these are great and the changing cast from season to season makes it really fresh and different from the crime shows of today

The main character and how you follow him thru the years as he chases a killer. Truly a nailbitter and head scratcher of a great show.

The second season was terrible, they brought the show back to life with season 3. Not as good as season 1, but still very very good.

After an ok season following an amazing first season, true detective is back with an excellent third season!

Overall a good series wasn’t as good as the first two or the first one but interesting on how they did wrap it together with the first series mentioning them definitely recommend it

Enjoyed this long time mystery. From the 80’s to modern day. Very well done with great performances.
