To be clear, season 2 is not as good as season 1. However, it retains the same grittiness and detective flow. It's a worthy season 2.

It's worth noting that the Digital HD code that is included can be used on iTunes and Ultraviolet (twice). I wish all Digital HD codes did that. Universal is pretty big on double use codes, but I've only seen HBO and Universal do it. These are great sets at a really good price, and totally worth the money. Great transfer.

If this was the first season of the series everyone would not be so down on it. Forget season 1 watch this a separate thng very enjoyable

This season may not have been as gripping as the first, but it is still well written and entertaining with its characters and cast.

I bought the first season and wanted the second. I'm in the middle of watching it now! So far, it's good but the first was better.

I missed season one of this series. I am a now a big fan and cannot wait to watch the first season. AWSOME dialogue and acting.

Although it doesn't quite live up to the original season, if you enjoyed season 1 this season is worth picking up for sure.

True Detective is a series with different plots. The story was decent but I was confused at times but overall I enjoyed it.

The tone and plot of this season is much different than Season 1. Having being told prior to purchasing this that I should not expecting the same thing as Season 1, I found this season to be very good! I still prefer Season 1 over Season 2 but they are like comparing apples and oranges. Would Recommend!

True detective season 2 is a good show. It is very different from season 1 in almost every way but is still a decent show.

Season 2 was underwhelming (compared to Season 1, which was epic) and this is completely understandable so some folks need to give this a try. Lots going on. Bezzaredes (McAdams) is a really good character. It looks great on baby blu and this was a fantastic Best Buy Black Friday Deal. Thanks! Also it includes the free iTunes and UltraViolet codes, which was unexpected and appreciated.

Excellent show, if you've not seen it, you must! As good as the first one and will keep you guessing until the end.

Our family really liked the 1st season. We 1/2 way through the 2nd. and really are enjoying it. love the cast.

I loved season one, but, initially, didn't care for season two. It was better the second time I watched it.
