Easy application to complete taxes, I have use the same application for 10 years.

I bought this and it corrupted my computer, I tried to return it and online is stating Icant. out of a lot of money.

I have never really had a preference for tax software. In the past I have purchased whichever tax software was on sale (TurboTax or H & R Block). Over the past few years I have chosen TurboTax because they are continually making improvements and transferring information from year to year has become simple and is a real time saver. If your tax returns are simple you can probably go directly to the IRS's site to file and do it for free but if your taxes are more complexed you can definitely save money buy doing them yourself. Turbotax is straight forward and easy to use. Additionally there are several checks during and after you enter all your information to help keep you accurate, in the know and audit free.

I’ve used Turbo Tax for Mac since 2007 w/ zero problems; this year after numerous attempts the product wouldn’t download and when trying to contact customer support (man is that a misnomer!) I still couldn’t figure out the problem. I tried downloading from the CD and from the website, no soap. Frustrating! After researching issue further it appears the Norton/LifeLock program I recently purchased has to have its VPN & security features disabled for the CD to download properly. Why is that? Since The CD I purchased was both Mac & Windows compatible, I’ve been able to upload on my Surface Pro - I still couldn’t get it to upload properly on my Mac. Again, TurnoTax customer service is extremely difficult to contact, and when I finally got a real person, she tried her best for over an hour to figure out my problem and no luck. Thank God we have some wiggle room this year for filing.

TurboTax is easy to use. Transfers old return info to current year and moves forward from there. Home and Business allows those with their own businesses (consultants, landlords, etc.) to do their own returns and the “interview” process makes it easy. There are a few spots where TurboTax could improve, especially with recalculating old years’ returns at certain points (for some of us) to maximize our returns. They need you to rerun numbers using last year’s program and it would be great if the current year would just do all the math.

Turbotax makes the annual chore of preparing a tax return fairly straightforward and systematic at a reasonable price. You can obtain different versions depending on how complex your tax situation is. You are even able to go above and beyond just buying the Turbotax software by paying for services like tax preparation advice and audit protection. If you only buy the Turbotax software, then you generally do not have to allow others the privilege of seeing your finances as revealed by your tax return.

Let it guide you through your taxes. I found this to be the most accurate of all. Why waste money on preparers/software that will not take all the deductions you are entitled to? Doesn't happen with Turbo Tax - unless you think you know more than they do. Before I retired, I spent 8 hours of every day for 15+ yrs doing error auditing of State tax returns. Turbo Tax returns didn't have the errors and this is what I use at home.

I always rely on Turbo Tax. A family member had to pay $1000 this year to get their taxes done. As an experiment, they gave me their records to see what Turbo Tax and I came up with. We compared the result, and Turbo Tax came up with the exact same numbers as their much more expensive tax preparer! Next year the family member will be using Turbo Tax and then taking that $900 plus for a few relaxing days at the beach!

the disc would not download. Installed and uninstalled. Tried multiple times. I had a bad disc. Within moments of contacting support, I had some helping me and they could not get it to work either. Within moments, they emailed me a digital copy. While I wished I did not have to call support, Turbo Tax immediately handled the problem without having to be prompted to do so. This is the way customer support is supposed to be done. I cannot give this product a 5 star review because it did not work out of the box but Turbo Tax's customer support deserves 5 stars for the way they handled the situation.

TurboTax again for me this year. Probably about my 20th year with them--why change. I had some experience with TaxSlayer and I would say TurboTax wins hands down. My taxes are not very complicated, but I feel confident that I am addressing every thing with the interview questions. Have grown very comfortable using the product--why change?

I've been using Turbo Tax for years. It imports all the information from QuickBooks and makes preparing my tax returns so much easier. It also brings to my attention write offs and deductions I would not otherwise think of. I recommend the Intuit family of products to anyone starting s new business or moving to business software.

I typically do my own taxes by hand, but this year I purchased Turbotax for Home & Business because we had several changes in 2019 and I wanted to make sure I was handling them correctly. Turbotax was simple to install and use, and I ended up owing $600 less than the amount I'd come up with by hand. It was well worth the money to double check my figures.

Product is good, but the two business programs have issues with downloading and installing the state program. It did not create the proper folder on my PC. Had to dummy up a folder to get it to work. Tech support can not determine what the problem is and can not or will not offer a direct download for the state tax software.

I've used TurboTax HOME & BUSINESS for the last 8 years, since I receive 1099-MISC for my income as a 'self-employed contract worker' doing Bookkeeping for several clients. I know my way around record keeping and taxes, so I'm able to use this program to do my taxes easily...but if you don't have a good understanding of these ~ I'd recommend you seek a tax advisor/preparer. Even having a good understanding, I still find this program is not fool-proof for preparing your taxes. You need to know what you're able to deduct, how to keep the records, and how & where they should be entered on the tax forms to get it right. The Intuit App itself appears to be easy enough, but has a few places where it doesn't direct you in a clear manner. My suggestion, if you want to do your own Self-Employed tax return? Have a professional do them for you the first year, then try TurboTax and use your previous year's return as a guide. Also, do some research on the internet for "self-employed home business" and educate yourself! Last point ~ BUY THE CD, don't use the Online Version! You will always have the PROGRAM AND YOUR FILE SAVED AND ACCESSIBLE...the Online Version is only available for a limited number of years. I'd only recommend this to a friend IF they were knowledgeable enough to catch the things the program doesn't automatically direct them to.

I’ve been using this software for almost 10 years now I love TurboTax and it ease of using. Great value can download on 3 computer and do about 8 efile returns per computer and even more if you print them out.

I’ve been using TurboTax for well over 20 years. Great program, timely updates, never had a problem. Worth buying! Easy to use. No reason why anyone should pay anyone to do their taxes when there’s TurboTax available.

The only thing negative about this product do far.. While I am a business administration graduate, I feel like this program is not too hard to use. They do step by step instructions for everything, asking you yes and no questions which you then explain with further proof or data entry. I always enjoy doing number crunching. TurboTax made it really easy. With the exception of the basic setup on the first day, it only took me a couple hours to sit down and input my data information and file my taxes. I have many different streams of revenue so it's not just like I'm typing in a few numbers. It helps if you have a small business to keep your records updated that way you can just transfer information over whenever you do TurboTax.

Been using online version for years. Recently switch to CD based version. Much easier to work with and you can do multiple taxes in your family for one price!
