Turn: Washington's Spies tells the story of the Culper Ring, a group of spies that help turn the tide of the Revolutionary War in favor of the Americans. The show centers around Abraham Woodhull (Jamie Bell), a farmer living in Setauket, Long Island who bands together with a group a childhood friends to steal information about the British and get it to the Continental Army. The story and characters are clever and engaging, the acting is good, and the setting really immerses you in the time. The picture and sound quality are top notch and there are some pretty good special feature. The four minute documentary gives some pretty interesting details of the shows subject matter, and the deleted scenes are fun to watch. I highly recommend this show to anyone who likes history shows and movies or fans of spy stories in general.

Turn is certainly one of my favorite new series on television and I would advise anyone to get caught up with this show since season 2 has just begun. The production quality, scripts and acting are all first rate, creating a story line based on history that not only relives moments in history, but completely entertains the viewer while doing so. Television series have become the best thing to watch these days and AMC is right up there with the best PAY TV networks such as HBO & STARZ. Check it out!

My wife and I had been seeing the commercials on AMC for this series, but always seemed to have something else to watch. I finally picked up the complete first series BluRay set from Best Buy and we were so caught up in the storyline, that we watched it in just over a week. Interesting storyline from the Revolutionary war days.

This well-done series was absorbing enough that I watched the first season in its entirety as it was broadcast, despite my aversion to commercials and against my usual policy of waiting for rental, DVD, Blu-Ray or at least On-Demand. And I am now eagerly watching season two.

I love this period in our history and thought that they did a great job of bringing Alexander Rose's book to life. Even though they took much liberty with the lives of a few of the characters, it still translates well with the overall factual accounts.

Looking forward to seeing season 2. The sets and costumes are accurate for the late 18th century. Many characters are based on real people, but as with most tv shows, they can dramatize and be very inaccurate to someones true actions in history.

All I ever saw were previews. Had a friend recommend watching it and figured it'd be worth a shot. It has now become one of my more favorite shows and I can't wait for next season!

I did not know they had so many spies doing time. The costumes was so realliest it fell like you were there. The actors did very good job playing there parts. There's a lot of action sometime you are not sure the spies. You're not sure who there spies get for. At this time count wait for season 3.

being a history buff I would recommend this series to anyone who wants to learn about our country's fight for independence. .om.The series shows the risks that the patriots were willing to make for freedom.

I am biased having a love for history of all type. So far seems like a great series to own. We enjoyed Sons of Liberty as a historical drama and this is a step up. Looking forward to new season to come out

Never told before history based on Washington's real life secret wartime letters done with extreme accuracy in sets and plot that is also a very exciting story. Can't wait for the 2nd season set!

Great tv show Turn is awesome and more seasons on blu ray would be great

After watching a few episodes on television, I decided to purchase the first year of the series, and was able to include it in my Ultraviolet account to watch on my iPad. It is refreshing to see a series done in Revolutionary War Days. Good casting, interesting plot.

I bought this as a gift for a history buff after having seen it myself. We both loved it. There isn't anything like it on TV so if you enjoy the time period this show is for you.

The show offers and interesting and little known approach on the events of the American Revolution. Its an excellent approach to a well known era of the U.S.

I was never taught about the spy network in high school. It was a surprise to me when I heard of it. Learned something new that day.

Very well acted and filmed series with superbly reproduced period feel, and great intercalation of historic and fictitious characters.

This is a very underrated show and is worth checking out. Looks great on blu ray

Excellent American Revolution brought to life. Superb costumes, weapons and depictions of every day life.

My husband likes this show. I decided to buy this for him when he was unable to watch all the episodes on ondemand. Right after I bought it, the show showed up on Netflix. Wish I would have saved my money.
