I will start by saying they are very comfortable and sturdy but they are not impressive at all without the T.A.C unit. If you do not get it your throwing your money away. Another thing I found is that the volume is lacking even with the T.A.C unit. With my XP500s I never raised the volume to 100 cause it would hurt my ears, these at a 100 are not loud at all, in fact I wish they had the ability to go a bit louder. For a total 350 dollar price tag I just expected better. Again they are not bad but they are not great especially for the price.

Definitely like these and use them every day. These are corded obviously and I keep going back and forth on whether I prefer wired or wireless. After having a wireless Turtle Beach model last year, the frequent need to recharge finally brought me back to wired and since I use them mostly on the Xbox One plugged direct into the controller they still give me freedom of movement while I play. They are very comfortable over the ear. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the accessories for them are not included (the in line EQ is available separately to have more control over the different volume levels) and for almost $200 I think Turtle Beach could have tossed that into the box :)

I read and watched several reviews before purchasing the TB Elite Pro headphones and I also own the Astro A40 TR Xbox Edition. I wanted the same or better sound while playing on my PS4. The TB Elite Pros fit the bill. Sound quality is better than the A40's even running off the Astro Mixamp on my Xbox One. By better I mean cleaner sound overall with a better surround sound effects the A40's are very good headphones but the TB have them beat by a fair margin. The day I brought the TB's home it didn't take long to figure out I wanted TB's mixamp (TAC) too which I would have purchased at the same time if it would have been in stock. The TB TAC will add Dolby 7.1 and several other modes to get the full TB Elite Pro experience. The TB are pricey but they sound a lot better than the Astros and are more comfortable withought having to purchase a upgrade pack like the A40's. I think there worth the extra investment.

I am a big fan of the turtle beaches. They work just as good if not better than my other beaches. These are a bit more sturdy than most head sets. With that being said, they do weigh a bit more as well. Sometimes, in long gaming sessions I can begin to notice the weight. You can hear enemies sneak up on you like nothing or hear where a grenade bounces near you. I play gears of war and Call of Duty and these are fantastic.

Love the headset. Fits great and really comfortable. Used it on the PS4 first. And the sound quality was great. Plenty of volume. When I used it on the xbox1 it wasnt quite as loud. I have since used it on the PS4 and PC with the mix amp. And I really enjoy that. Its a nice addition. Have not used it on the Xbox since the purchase of the mix amp. I gave it a 4 because the sound quality between the PS4 and the XB1 were not equal.

The headset is comfy but for the price it’s not worth it. The reason why I stand by that is because in order to enjoy their max potential the price must increase. You have to have the amplifier for the PS4 or the stereo adapter for the XBox 1. So essentially you’re paying north of 150 for a comfy wired letdown. The reason I gave a higher score is there isn’t many multi system sets out there so it does give them a plus...

This headset is awesome I did return them to try the Astro a40 TR but I will be exchanging them again for this headset. I would give them a 5 star but I haven't tried the mixamp. The only problem with this headset is that the volume extremely low so the mixamp is a must. Even though it was low I could tell exactly where the enemies were coming from in rainbow six siege compared to the Astro a40 TR I could hear the enemies but can't tell if they were on top or under me which doesn't help at all. Pick these babies up

This headset is a little heavier than say an Astro headset but for every good reason. Once you put these on, you won’t hear anything else but the game. Excellent headset!

Although these headsets are expensive, they are completely worth it. By themselves, the headsets improve directional capabilities slightly and they will definitely increase your ability to detect movement. I highly recommend spending the $150 for the tactical audio controller which will greatly increase the surround sound capabilities of the phone. The headset is very comfortable and never tire out my head ( I wear glasses). If you have the money to spend, these are the headsets to go with!

My 17 yr old son has gone through many headsets over the last few years. We are hopeful this set will last a very long time. Being "wired" & changing the configuration of his computer to the desk will hopefully be the answer to a headset lasting more than a year.

Over the last 6 years I have bought several different headsets ranging from the Astro 40, 50 the Steel Series and multiple models of Turtle Beach trying to replace the X42's that I broke. This set is by far the most comfortable best in sound and the best in versatility, the only drawback was the cost of the additional mic for tournament play and the addition of the Elite Pro Tac audio controller for tournament type sound control. But even without the audio controller the headset is the best for the money. But I suggest buying the noise canceling mic.

This headset is the easiest headset to setup and use that I've ever owned. Setup was as easy as taking it out of the box and plugging it in to my controller. I really can switch in between phone/console with ease, it's as simple as plugging the sux cord in! The sound is excellent and the headset is very comfortable overall. I have a large head with even larger ears and this headset still fits comfortably atop my head. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a headset that is as easy to setup as it is high quality in design and comfort.

This is my. Second pair of turtle beaches, and this pair did not have the volume adjustment of my last pair that i miss. I had my last pair for a few years before my wife ruined them. Gaming on both platforms i needed a pair that woukd work on both. They are very comfortable, and the mic works great, but needs more in the volume department.

This is by far the best gaming headset I have ever used. The sound quality and volume are excellent and the cool gel around the ears feels great for when I play. They do a very good job with cancelling outside sounds but the mic can pick up the headset sounds if it's too loud. Very comfortable, excellent mic and sound quality and would definitely reccomend at least trying them out!

After doing months of research and experiencing challenges with cheaper Microsoft brands, decided to pay a little more, okay a lot more, but thank goodness BB has sales often. So far, headset holding up just fine. Great sound and very comfortable. Would highly recommend if you are not happy with your current gaming headset. Works perfectly with my Xbox One and Stereo Headset adapter.

Great headset with amazing comfort and sound quality. They could easily stay on my head all day and I doubt I'd have much to complain about. The one negative is the price point, these are a little pricey for just a headset. For $50 you can get the Astro A40 with the mixamp and sometimes even for the same price if on sale.
